一、教材分析

本节课是对本单元所学内容的一个复习和巩固的复习课型。本单元的话题是From hobby to career, 是一个比较常见也是学生比较熟悉的话题。本单元的课文都是介绍“从兴趣到爱好”的成功例子，让学生认识到爱好对事业所起的积极作用，课文内容也比较好理解，语法是有关when 引导的宾语从句和used to do的用法，学生也较容易理解和掌握。本节复习课主要以Patrick作为主要人物，以“Patrick需要招聘一位主持人帮忙主持电视节目”作为故事情节，使得本课的词汇、语法、口语和写作相互串联在一起，形成一节完整的情景教学的复习课，帮助学生系统地复习了本单元的重点知识。

二、教学对象分析

1、本班学生在前面几个课时已经完成了Unit 8新授课的学习，对于重点内容已经有所掌握，但需要多做练习，对本单元的重难点知识进行巩固。

2、本班学生有一定的英语基础，课堂表现力较好，但口头表达和书面表达方面欠佳，运用英语的能力和准确性有待提高，因此在课堂上需重点进行口头和笔头的训练。

3、本班学生每人都有一台学习用的Ipad, 课堂训练可以与Ipad相结合，推送堂上练习，及时反馈，重点讲评，提高课堂效率。

二、教学目标

三、教学重点和难点

1、正确区分和使用词组：used to do, be used to do和be/get used to doing 2、正确使用when 引导的时间状语从句，特别是主从句时态的相呼应。

2、写一封信给Patrick应聘主持人，并同伴互改互评作文。
