教学目标：

一、知识与技能

1.能听，说，读，写本单元学习的关于动物的单词以及它们的复数形式：ducks, pigs, sheep, cows。

2.能理解并使用句子What are they? They’re...来询问看到的事物，并学会如何回答。

二、过程与方法

1.能利用本单元核心语言相互交流有关动物的简单话题。

2.能运用所学的知识，在图片的帮助下，听懂，读懂英语对话，并能仿照对话内容与同伴进行信息交流与沟通。

三、情感态度与价值观

1.激发学习语言的兴趣，调动参与课堂活动的积极性，培养小组合作的意识，积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流，注意倾听，积极思考。

2.通过学习有关动物知识的学习，激发学生对大自然的热爱之情，养成保护动物的好习惯。

学情分析：

小学四年级的学生和低年级相比具有比较强的自行探究的能力，学生在观察能力，思维能力，语言表达能力方面都有了比较好的提高，有着强烈的好奇心与动手操作的能力。他们喜欢在自己的探索中获取事实，喜欢在玩中学，喜欢在做中学，喜欢在想中学，喜欢在用中学。四年级的同学对英语学习的主动性都比较高，课堂参与度高，喜欢英语活动、游戏和表演。

重点难点:

重点：掌握What are they? They are...句型。

难点：掌握动物名词的复数形式。

教学过程: 一、导入

1.Greetings T:Good morning, boys and girls. Ss: Good morning, Miss Jiang. 2.Listen and sing a song. 3.Show the cards and review the animals words: dog,cat, rabbit. (设计意图：让学生边唱边跳，使学生在玩中快乐地进入学习英语的良好状态，既达到一个课前热身的效果，又能将学生的注意力集中到课堂教学中来。) 二、讲授

1.The teacher shows the first picture and ask:”What’s this?””It’s a cow.”And then shows the second picture and ask “What are they?”To lead the sentence”They are cows.”

(设计意图：通过声音和图片加快孩子们的理解过程。让学生们在老师的指引下层层深入的进入新知识的教授，帮助学生记忆，也易于接受。) 2. Spell and write the new word”cows”

3. Using the same method to teach the new words: geese, ducks, sheep. And then practice and write the sentences”What are they? They are...”

(设计意图：运用多种形式操练句型，让学生真正学会句型，学以致用。) 4.Play a game”Magic eyes”:Look at the picture carefully and say the word quickly.

(设计意图：改变枯燥、乏味的练习方式，通过游戏来渲染气氛，使学生以高度的热情、良好的态度巩固所学知识。) 5.Say a chant: What are they? They are cows. What are they? They are pigs. What are they? They are sheep. 6.To show the picture and ask the question “What do they see?”

7.Listen to the tape recorder and follow to read the dialogue. 8.Read the dialogue in different ways. And then fill the blanks. 三、活动

1.Read and act the dialogue by different characters.Choose one picture and make a new dialogue. And then act it out in group. (设计意图：

通过分组表演，给学生提供表演机会。让每一位学生都能展示自己，表现自己。) 2.Play a game “Running man”:The teacher shows the photos of “Running Man”.The students choose one and answer the questions quickly. 四、作业

1.Listen to the tape and read the dialogue. 2.Make a dialogue and act it out.
