Unit 4 I have a new friend. 教学目标:
Aims on the knowledge:
To master the four-skill words“young, old, beautiful, thin, clever” . To understand and speak the sentence patterns“Is she/he …?”,“
Yes , she /he is.”,“No, she/he isn’t.”
Aims on the abilities:
To develop the abilities of listening and speaking;
To train the ability of working in groups;
To foster the abilities of communication.
Aims on the emotion :
To foster consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition。
学情分析:
四年级的大部分学生对英语有着较浓厚的学习兴趣,但也有少数学生由于遇到困难,学习兴趣会随之减弱。尤其从这学期开始,对学生又提出了新的要求:培养听、说、读、写的技能。所以教师应该面向全体学生,以学生的发展为宗旨,始终把激发学生的学习兴趣放在首位,引导学生端正学习态度,掌握良好的学习方法,培养学生良好的学习习惯。
教学重点
To master the four-skill words and sentence patterns.
教学难点
To understand and speak the sentence pattern “Is she/he …?”,“
Yes , she /he is.”/“No, she/he isn’t.”

Step 1 Warming up 1. Greetings T: Good morning /afternoon, boys and girls.

2. Say a chant. 3. Talk about Yao Ming with the word bank. 设计意图:通过利用词汇完成对话,
引出新知识。以
句子为单位,有利于培学生
直接运用的能力。学生齐说唱chant,为实现英语交际打下坚实的基础。
StepⅡ
Presentation and drill. 1. The teacher shows the picture of the Zheng Shuang and asked“Who’s she?”Lead
the students to learn the word‘beautiful’and‘thin’,then put forward the problem .( Is she beautiful/thin? Yes, she is./ No,she isn’t.) 2. The teacher show others pictures to the students and then teacher them the new words and new sentences this way. (Is she/he old/young/clever? Yes, she/he is./ No, she/he isn’t.)
3. Ask the students to practice the sentences. 设计意图:改变枯燥、乏味的学习方式通过学生熟知的明星引入新知,使学生以高度的热情、良好的姿态进入学习状态。通过不同的操练方式,让学生自己发展语言,让每一位学生都参与到课堂中来,同时活跃课堂气氛。
Step 2 Practice. 1. T: Xiao Hui takes a picture for you,too. It’s a picture of her new friend. Do you want to know about her.(Show the picture to the students. And then ask them listen to the tape. At last ask them answer the three questions.) 6. Activity two: Listen to the words and make new sentences. 7.The teacher asks two students to say one word and asks the students to make new sentences according to the words and their locations.
8.Finish the “Game
time” 。
设计意图:通过各种游戏,让学生感受到学习英语的乐趣,为培养学生学习的兴趣打下基础。 Step Ⅲ Consolidation。
1. The teacher asks the students to read and act the dialogues by different characters.( Prolongation and reflection拓展反思)
2.Look at the books and follow the tape recorder to read the words anddo the practice of “Listen
and point”.

Step Ⅳ Summary 1.Ask several Ss to sum up what we have learnt in this class. 2.The teacher draws a conclusion.
3.Ask the Ss to recite the main knowledge. 设计意图:让学生在游戏中联系单词,达到富教于乐的效果。 Step Ⅴ Homework. 1. Finish the exercises after class. 2. Listen to the tape, read follow to the tape.
3.Make dialogues in groups 设计意图:学生自己总结既锻炼了学生的表达能力,同时更能了解学生的掌握知识的情况
