Teaching procedures：

Introduction 1. Greet the students and make them ready for learning.

2. The teacher guides the students to answer the question: We all like traveling, but it will

cost us much money to go on a trip. How can you get money? 3. The teacher leads the students to discuss in groups: “In Canada and America, children

usually make money by themselves. If you were them, what would you like to do to raise money?”

4. The teacher asks the students to use “We can

do sth. to raise money” to show their ideas. 5. The teacher asks the students to check “what you usually do to raise money for a field trip” for1a.

Presentation

1. The teacher asks the students to look at the picture of 1a and guess: What do they do

to raise money? 2. The teacher asks the students to read again and guess the meaning of the new words by

Consolidation

1. Let the students read 1a again and put the sentences of 1c in the right order. Check the answers. 2. The teacher asks the students to find out the structure to + v. in the passage. 3.
