c. grasp the adverbial clauses of condition well 2. Skill aims During the class, the students can: a. capture key information and improve their abilities by practicing the skills of reading. b. develop their abilities by concluding the useful expressions from the text.

c. develop their thinking and integrated abilities by drawing the mind map for the passage.

d. write a passage about how to encourage people to ride to school or work.

3. Emotional aims a. Students will enhance their sense of safety by talking about the safety rules.

Go through the topic for 2 minutes. Sum up the useful expressions about advantages of cycling and safety rules.

Review the grammar 1.

Suppose students are cycling stars . Get the students to introduce the traffic signs and some results of breaking rules.

Make sure they can make sentences with the adverbial clauses of condition.

Read carefully and find out the reason why schools in Nanjing want to have the riding test.
