How to write a letter in a correctly way.(some forms they should know) The dialogues about how to make plans . To exchange messages through activities such as writing simple letters, making telephone calls and sending postcards and invitations.

Step1

Warming up :1. say a poem (Page24)

Revise the part A, match the places and activities.

Step2

Pre-task: 1 Tell pupils to read the e-mail(online or in their books).

Ask questions to check their

comprehension.

Step3

While –task

1.Ask pupils to look at the pamphlets or website of the Hong Kong Tourism Board to choose an interesting tour for Roy. Draw their attention to the names of places and the arrows on each pamphlet. Tell them that this is an itinerary.

2.

Tell pupils

to suggest a tour and to tell their friend about it so that the pair can choose the most

interesting one. Tell pupils to use the words First, Next, Then, After that and Finally to link the sentences and to let their partner know the order in which the tour will visit the places. 3. Ask pupils to look at the e-mail reply from Cherry to Roy. Point out the format and language features of e-mails.

Step4

Post –task 1.

Ss choose an interesting tour. Then write Cherry’s e-mail to Roy. 2.

Checking their understanding and the use of connectives to express sequence. Check pupils’ answers to Part E.
