教材分析：通过对水的相关事实的了解，从而呼吁人们要保护和珍惜水源。本文出现的课标词汇有11个，通过对词汇的学习，学生能了解水的常识，并意识到水的来之不易，为进一步理解课文内容做好铺垫。

学情分析：初一学生比较好动，思维活跃，对贴近他们生活的话题感兴趣，水是生活中大家都非常熟悉的事物，学生也了解了很多关于水的常识。他们也掌握了不少相关的单词与句型，能够完成课堂上的任务。

教学目标：

认知目标：理解水的常识，掌握11个课标词。

能力目标：学生能够运用正确的阅读策略，并通过课标词汇的学习用自己的话谈论如何节约用水。

本节课用了多种形式的词汇教学：图片展示的直观教学，通过上下文联系的猜词法，情境教学法，还有构词法等，并在课堂中进行了学习和复习的活动。通过这节课的学习，学生能够熟练掌握所学单词的读音和意思，了解水的常识，懂得保护水源和节约用水的重要性，学生能够基本掌握课标词汇的用法。学生能够积极参与课堂活动，课堂气氛比较活跃，大部分同学能够参与讨论或发言。有部分学生可能由于词汇量或性格原因，未能积极地参与讨论。词汇的教学最终是为了运用，课后还得增加词汇的重现率，以免学生遗忘。
