Teaching plan Unit7 What would you like ?
Teaching aims: 1.Ss can master the new words“fish,fruit,soup,beef,pork”and the new dialogue “What would you like ? I’d like …”by making situation and playing. 2.Ss can act the new dialogue of “Listen and say”by working in groups.
3.Educate Ss to eat healthy food . 4. Tell the students to eat healthy food in their life. Important point: The Ss can master the new words“fish,fruit,soup,beef,pork”and the new dialogue “What would you like ? I’d like …”. Difficult point: Ss can use the sentences freely in their life. Teaching steps: Step1 warming up and Revision T: Greetings Good morning, boys and girls. Nice to meet you ! T: Sing an English song c: Have a Revision (1)T shows CAI, Ss review some food words“chicken,rice,noodles,meat.vegetables,cabbage,cake,egg,milk,potatoes,tomatoes,beans”. (2)T asks someone“Can I have some chicken? Yes,please.”,then leads Ss to make dialogues “Can I have some...? Yes,please.”
Step2 Presentation and drill
T shows CAI and introduces the background of the dialogu. T:It is a weekend.Helen and her parents are eating dinner in a restaurant.Now they are ready to order. Let’s listen. What would they like for dinner? Then leads Ss to listen to the tape. T:Now I have three questions. T shows the questions and leads Ss to translate the questions. 1.What would Helen like? 2.What would mom like?
3.What would dad like? T leads Ss to listen to the tape again. T leads Ss to answer the Question 1: 1.What would Helen like? T shows a picture and teaches Ss the new word “fish”. T ask:What would mom like for Helen? T says“Helen would like fish and fruit.And
I’d like fish and fruit,too.And what would you like ?”
T shows the new sentence “What would you like ?I’d like ...”and writes the sentences on the blackboard . T leads Ss to practice in groups T lead the students answer the second question: 2.What would mom like? T shows CAI . T teaches Ss the new words “soup”. T asks someone “What would you like?”
T lead the students answer the last question: 3.What would dad like? T shows CAI T teaches Ss the new words “beef”
T leads Ss to make a new dialoge . T shows another CAI. T goes on asking someone“What would you like?”and teaches Ss the new word“pork”. T shows some photos and leads Ss to make a new dialoge . Step3. Practice. T plays the recorder. T read the new dialogue . Lead Ss to practise the dialogue in working groups. Lead Ss to act the new dialogue with their parners. Step4. Consolidation and Extension. T shows some animal pictures and ask the Ss: Tiger,Tiger,What would you like ? Cat,Cat, What would you like ? Cow,Cow,What would you like ?
