Teaching aids:

cards tape some stars(To encourage students)

Teaching steps:

Step1.Warm up.

1.Let’s do: I say you do. Then I do you say.

2.Who has magic eyes? Use the cards, review the words about the clothes. Listening practice: Listen and say the words you hear.

3.Free talk.

How are you today? What day is it today?

What’s the weather like today?Listen and say the words you hear.

Step2.lead- in.

Are you happy/ …? Why? Do you like sunny day? Why? What’s your favourite colour /food/animals…? Why?

Then lead into the title.

Step3. Presentation.

1.Look at the pictures and try to descible them. Let’s try to answer the questions: Why is Tom wearing a raincoat? Why is Linging wearing a hat? Why is Sam wearing a T-shirt? Why is Amy wearing a dress? And teach the new words: raincoat theatre.

2.listen to the tape and underline the sentences with “why”?

3.Listen again and answer the questions with why.

3. Read the text after the tape

4.Read in pairs. Then read together.
