Lead in and presentation T: OK, all of you like travel. Now, let’s enjoy some pictures of some famous places. If you know it, speak out quickly. 1.

Look and say the pictures about some places.(Stonehenge, Big Ben, London Eye, Five-Finger Mountain…..)

And firstly, we are going to learn Module 9 Unit 1. 4: Text T: In this Unit, Daming and Simon are in New York. Do you know where do Daming and Simon want to visit? (1)

（3）Read and answer T: Do you want to know more about the UN building? Ss: Yes, I do. T: Now, open your books. Read the text and try to get more information about the UN building? First, please read these 3 questions.(全班齐读问题，带着问题来阅读) Q1：What is the UN building?

S1: It a very important building in New York. Q2: What is the UN building like? S2：The building is beautiful. It’s very big and very tall.

Q3: What does the UN want to do?

S3：The UN wants to make peace in the world. (4)教授新词

peace (利用思维导图就“ea”的字母组合进行语音拓展：teach peach, tea等词)，再解释make peace,老师趁机进行德育渗透，鼓励学生要热爱和平并从现在开始要维护和平。
