Lesson 2 What Do You Want to Be? (第4课时)
教材分析:
1、EEC教材是由黑龙江省EEC学院编写的小学英语教材。根据小学生的年龄特点和性格爱好,教材选取学生喜闻乐见的生活内容,以生动的故事为主线,并配有欢快音乐的学习磁带,着重培养学生的听说能力和交际能力,养成良好的学习习惯。
2、本课是EEC教材第六册第二课,主要内容是学习问答自己的理想。锻炼学生的听说能力和日常口语交际能力,知道从小就要有自己的理想,向着自己的理想目标努力。
学情分析:
教学对象为五年级学生,英语学习已有一定基础,结合这一年龄段学生的特点,充分利用歌曲、图片、游戏、角色扮演等手段,调动学生的学习兴趣,活跃课堂气氛,提高教学效率,取得良好的教学效果。
设计理念:
英语教学面向全体学生,创造轻松和谐的学习环境,通过感知、体验、实践、参与、合作等方式,使英语学习成为一种愉悦的体验和感受,以提高学生的听说能力和交际能力,培养持续的学习兴趣,形成科学的学习方式,为终身学习打基础。

Teaching aids: a whiteboard, a PPT, a ball, some role caps,S/L cards.
Teaching steps: Step 1 Warm-up 1.
Greeting T: Good morning everyone! How are you today? 2.
Sing a song .What do you want to be ? 3.
Review and leading in Q: What do you usually do after school? What do you do after school? What do you want to be?
Step 2 (1)T: Today,I’ll introduce 2 friends to you. Who are they?(show S/L cards) Ss: sp and sw. (2)Listen to the tape and repeat the words. (3)Presentation: T: They have special pronunciation.SP pronounce as /sp/,such as spaceship.SW pronounce as /sw/,such as swim. T: Please read after me. T: Do you know any other words including sp/sw? T write the words on the blackboard.

Exercise B Listen to the tape and fill in the missing letters. Ss read the sentences and translate into Chinese.
Step 3 1. (PPT)T: where is it? (A snack bar.) T: Yes.There is a snack bar on the corner. One day, four students come to the snack bar and have a lunch. Who are they? Give me a name! (Peter/Mary/Jane/Tino) T: After lunch, they have a talk. What are they talking about? Let’s have a look. 2. (PPT)Ss Listen to the tape. T: If you are Peter/Mary,what do you usually do on the weekend? If you are Tino, what do you want to be? 3. T: Now open your books and turn to P.19. Let’s practise the dialogue. Then we will play the story.Are you ready? 4. Ss act the story.(2 groups)
5. Exercise E on paper. Game: A passing game.(Ss listen to the music and pss the ball. When the music stop, Ss stop passing. A student answer the question who has the ball.)
Step 4
Talk about dreams. T: Everyone has a dream.What’s your dream? Last class I gave you homework.Now tell us, what do you want to be?(Ss come to the front and talk about dreams. ) T:That’s fantastic! I hope your dreams will come true.
Step 5 (show PPT : music and lyric) T: At last, I give you a song named ‘I have a dream’and wish you a dood future! (Ss: Thank you teacher!) T: That’s all for today. See you next class! Goodbye!
