课堂气氛较热烈，主要采取小组合作的形式，效果一般，只要问题是小组合作学习会带来较传统教学更大的噪音, 这个问题在很多小学英语课堂上是一个非常突出的问题。在英语课上有时可以看到, 教师还没有交代完合作的事项和内容, 学生就迫不待地开始自由讨论。造成表面上是看似热闹, 而学生却没有掌握和巩固已学知识, 很容易没有达到本节课的教学目标。
