（1）学习并掌握新词汇和短语: usual, either, accept, as usual （2）学习并掌握形容词和副词的同级比较结构: I live as happily as before. /I couldn’t sleep as well as usual./The food was not so delicious as ours.

V. Teaching procedures Step 1 Lead-in Greet and prepare for the new lesson.

Step 2 Preview Students learn the key points by themselves and finish the exercise paper. (1) Students finish the expressions individually and then check the answers. (2) Students discuss in pairs and translate the sentences into Chinese, then check.

(3) Students read the examples and pay attention to the structures of the equal comparison. Then they work in groups and try to summarize the rules. (4) Show the pictures in 3 and ask Ss to make sentences with as…as…or not as/so… as….
