Ⅰ. Material analysis 本节课主要活动为Section C 的1a、1b 。

本节课的课型为阅读课。通过对课文的阅读了解西方餐桌礼仪，通过视频《筷子》来引出中国的部分餐桌礼仪，学习有关餐具的词汇，掌握有关就餐的短语，

语法方面继续学习由whether和if 引导的宾语从句。老师要让学生在对比中西餐桌不同礼仪的过程中，让学生互帮互学，开阔视野，既要促进新知的形成，又要激发学生探究学习、自主学习的热情。在指导学生学习第二部分关于更多不同国家的餐桌礼仪时，要引导学生在了解中国风俗文化的同时，乐于接触和了解外国风俗文化，从而更好地为弘扬中国文化服务。

2. Watch a video about Chinese tradition to let students know about some Chinese table manners.

3. Review some words of utensils by showing these dishes one by one. Then fill them in the textbook on page 67. Presentation

1. Watch the flash of 1a and choose a title for 1a. Teacher asks one student to tell the answers.

2. Scanning. Read 1a again and finish 1b. Teacher and students check the answer together.

3. Group work. Students read 1a in group of 4 and fill out the table together in the exercise paper. Pick some students to check answers. 4. Teacher analyzes some sentences and explains key points and difficult points to the students in 1a.
