Master the structure Of linking verb+adjective, adverbial clauses of reason, equal comparison and Six basic structures of simple sentences.

Teaching steps: Step 1 Task 1 (for Group 2) Brain Challenge

1.

Let the students talk about some adjectives expressing feelings as

many as they can.

2.

Ask one student to talk about the usages of adjectives.

Step 2 Task 2(for Group 4) Review the structure Of linking verb+adjective. 1.

They talk about them in five ways. But one student focus on look,smell,taste, sound,feel.

Do some exercises to review the usage of seem Step 3 Task 3(for Group 7) Differences between adj. with -ed and -ing. 1.

The students find the differences by filling the blanks. 2.

The teacher tells the rules :

adj.with -ed are always used to describing people's feelings. eg：interested, disappointed, bored, excited, moved, surprised and etc. 2)

adj. with -ing are always used to describing things。

eg: interesting, disappointing, worrying, boring, exciting, moving, surprising and etc.。

Step 4 Task 4(for Group 3)

Review the structure Of be+adj.+prep. 1)

The group leader talks about some sentences, and made some mistakes ,

then let the students find the wrong sentences. 2)

Ask one student to choose some phrases to make sentences.

Step 5 Task 5(for Group 6) Review adverbial clauses of reason: because and because of
