四年级学生的年龄在九到十岁左右，生性活泼好动，喜欢直观形象思维，对游戏、竞赛、画画特别感兴趣。学生学英语不久，有可能说的不好，有的还不敢说，课堂上要以表扬为主，注重培养学习英语的兴趣，鼓励他们大胆说、积极做、努力唱！

四年级的学生已经有一定的英语基础，良好的开端是成功的一半，只有兴趣被激发出来了，学生才能乐学、善学、好学。所以我们要通过课堂教学为学生的学习积极创设情境，力求通过学唱英文歌曲，做游戏，以及动手操作等多种环节来培养学生的积极性，激发学生学习英语的热情。
