本节课是一节故事课，谈论的话题是小动物松鼠的尾巴是如何变蓬松的。“故事教学”目标一方面让学生理解故事大意，另一方面提高学生的应用能力。现下国家正提倡核心素养，它是关于学生知识、技能、情感、态度、价值观等多方面的综合表现。基于以上原因，教学过程中教师通过图文讲述、问题启发、主题讨论等正确、有效的教学策略激发学生阅读兴趣，培养其阅读能力，促进其认知发展。

学情分析：

六年级的孩子对事物有一定的判断力，他们能对松鼠进行清楚地描述，在理解故事文本的同时能结合科学学科对故事主题进行深入讨论。

教学目标：

1、理解重点词汇“bushy”,能读通和理解整个故事文本，并进行复述。

2、在图文并茂的故事讲解中，培养学生提出问题、分析问题和解决问题的能力。
