Before class: Enjoy a new song《Beautiful Sunday》

Step 1 Before reading

Free talk T: Do you like this song? Is it a happy song? Ss: ... T: What is the song about? S: It's about Sunday. T: How do you think of this Sunday in the song? S: It's a beautiful Sunday. T: Right. What about your Sunday?

S: My Sunday is ... T: What do you usually do on Sunday? S: I usually ... T: How about your Saturday? What do you usually do on Saturday? S: I usually ... T: Look at the calendar, here are Sunday and Saturday. We can call them weekend.

Teach: weekend

T: Today we'll talk about something about weekends. （Ss read the title）

T: Now we know Sunday and Saturday are weekend. How about Monday to Friday?

We call these days weekdays. We go to school on weekdays. We don't go to school

at weekends. So what do you usually do at weekends? Ss: I usually ... at weekends. 2.

Play a game: Memory competition T: Everyone has colourful weekends. Let's enjoy some colourful pictures about

weekends. Look at the pictures and try to remember them. Boys and girls, let's have

a PK. Let's see which team has a good memory. Ready? T: What did you see just now? Do you remember? （Show time）
