Teaching aims： 1.

认知目标：

a.

通过说唱chant师生复习表达表情的词语，如：afraid, happy ,angry, sad ,worried. b.

能够理解重点单词及词组：afraid, won’t, stuck, mud, worried, pull, strong. c. 能通过阅读训练在语篇中捕捉不同类型的信息，找出文章的主旨大意。

2.能力目标：

a. 能通过阅读所获取的信息完成短文填空练习，并能口头复述。

b. 能利用本课的主题句进行自由对话，进一步提高学生听、说、读的能力。

c. 培养学生的阅读习惯及阅读技巧。

3.情感目标：

a. 通过Robin和蚂蚁互相帮助的故事，让学生明白助人为乐会给别人和自己带来快乐。

b. 让学生不要以貌取人，明白团结的力量。

Teaching key points : 能够通过阅读训练在语篇中捕捉不同类型的信息，掌握阅读的方法。

Teaching difficulties points : a. 能够根据阅读所获取的信息完成短文的填空，并能进行口头复述。

b. 学会基本的阅读技巧，并能对阅读材料进行有目的的分析。

Teaching procedure : Step 1. Lead in

1.Show some interesting pictures for students. And ask them “How do you feel?”

“I’m happy / afraid/ angry/ worried/ sad.

2.Let’s chant together.

Happy, happy,

I’m happy.

Afraid, afraid,

I’m afraid.

Angry, angry,

I’m angry.

Worried, worried,

I’m worried.

Sad, sad ,

I’m sad.

(设计意图：复习本单元关于感觉的词语，师生一起唱chant,活跃气氛，加上TPR全身反应法，给学生轻松愉快的氛围。）

Step 2.Presentation

1.Show Robin and the ant, let students guess “What

happened between them? (设计意图：展示实物Robin和

ant，让学生猜猜他们之间发生了什么，激起学生阅读的兴趣。) 2.Task 1, Skim the story and choose the best answer. (1)

How does the ant feel? A.

The ant is afraid. B.

The ant is angry. (2)

How does Robin feel? A.

Robin is sad. B.

Robin is worried. Let’s check the answer together.

(设计意图：带着问题粗略的浏览下故事，对故事有了初步的认知，尝试回答问题。问题很简单，学生很容易找到。）

3.Let’s read the story together, listen and repeat，pay attention to the pronunciation. Let’s have group work, role play this part. (设计意图：图文并茂，师生一起学习故事。模仿蚂蚁和Robin的发音，学生兴趣盎然，想去模仿和表演。) 4.What happened on the next day? Do you want to know? Task 2, scan the story and try to answer the questions.

Step 3 Practice

1. There is a new task for you. Task 3 Read the story silently and number the pictures. Underline these sentences on your book. （设计意图：学生在标出图片顺序的同时在书中寻找相应的句子，能更好的理解故事。）

2.Task 4 Read the story intensively and try to fill in the blanks.

(3)The ants are strong. They____________________.

(4)Now everyone_______________. （设计意图：学生需要认真的阅读，从书中寻找答案，把空白填好。考验学生理解的如何。）

Step 4 Consolidation

Group work, let’s retell the story. Let students work in groups and try to retell the story ,each one should say one sentence. （设计意图：学生可以根据黑板上贴的思维导图来尝试把故事复述出来。有些难度，学生在小组活动中认真准备，复述时一人说一句。

Step 5 Summary Think it over: What does the story tell us? After read the story we know: We should always be nice to each other. （设计意图：给学生思考的空间，学习了故事，你从故事中明白了什么，学生们各抒己见。）

Step 6 Homework 1.Draw faces for each word. 2.Retell the story to your parents.
