2.Divide Ss in four groups. 3.Play a game: Test your eyesight

Show words and phrases of function rooms on the CAI quickly. Let Ss compete to read them. 4.Sing the song Our School together to the music.

Step 2 Preview 1.Talk about our school: Gu Quan Primary School

Show the pictures of six function rooms of our school on the CAI quickly. Try to guess.

T: Is this/that …? Ss: Yes, it is./No, it isn’t. Let some students try to guess. S1: Is this/that …? Ss: Yes, it is./No, it isn’t.

Step 3 Presentation and Practice 1.Teach “ lunch room”

Show the picture of our school lunch room to teach “ lunch room”. 2.Teach “It’s time for lunch.”

Show a hungry mother bear and hungry baby bear and one clock.

T: What time is it? Ss: It’s twelve o’clock. T: Yes, it’s twelve o’clock. It’s time for lunch.(Ss repeat the sentence after the teacher.) 3.Teach “I’m full.”

Show the picture of a full bear to teach Ss “full”. Have Ss repeat and do actions after the teacher. T&Ss: full,full, I’m full. 4.Meet hippo teacher

T: This is hippo teacher. Let’s say hello to him.

T: Today let’s go to hippo’s school. 5.Watch the cartoon and circle the function rooms.

Ask some Ss to report the function rooms they circle. Others check their answers. 6.Watch the cartoon again and find where Zoom is.
