一.教学目标

1. 知识目标:

(1)能够听、说、认读以下单词:stuck, mud, pull,won’t.

(2)能够理解故事大意,按照正确的语音语调朗读故事。

2. 能力目标:(分层目标)

(1) 学生能够正确地理解故事并在此基础上提取关键信息。(基础型目标)

(2)能够模仿朗读故事,并尝试借助关键词复述故事。(基础型目标)

(3) 学生能够通过小组合作的方式,运用已有知识储备丰富故事情节,从而生成英语剧本。(提高型目标)

(4)学生能够在小组内团结协作,明确分工,生动形象的表演短剧。(提高型目标)

3. 情感目标:

(1)引导学生善待他人,渗透助人为乐的快乐感,培养他们乐于助人的品质。

(2)学生能在教师的指导下做到自主思考问题,小组合作讨论,体验自主学习与合作学习的乐趣。

4. 学习策略:

通过本课的学习,使学生掌握基本的阅读技巧与阅读策略,学会提炼文章的关键信息。

二.学情分析

六年级学生的年龄基本在十一到十二岁左右,虽然处于高年级学段,但仍然活泼好动,喜欢丰富多彩的课堂活动。本班大部分学生对英语保持着浓厚的

学习兴趣,乐于用英语表演与交流,但也有少数学生由于基础较差,在学习过程中困难重重,学习兴趣随之减弱,导致班级两极分化现象严重。基于此种情况,我在制定教学目标时兼顾不同程度学生的需求,采取分层教学目标。学习形式以小组合作学习为主,引导学生在合作交流中获取新知,解决问题,共同体验学习的乐趣。为进一步激发学生学习英语的兴趣,帮助他们建立学习英语的成就感和自信心,课堂教学以剧本为载体,以表演为手段,把教材内容编成一个短剧,通过表演,形象直观地演绎了所学内容。短剧中生动的情节,丰富的情感和深刻的寓意符合学生的认知水平和年龄特征,学生在短剧表演中自然习得语言,通过表演获得成就感,同时也增强了学好英语的信心。

三.教学重难点

1. 重点:

学生能够准确理解故事大意,模仿相应角色朗读整个故事,并尝试借助关键词复述故事。

2. 难点:

(1)词汇:stuck, mud, pull, won’t.

(2)学生在熟练朗读的基础上创编剧本,并生动形象的表演故事内容。

四.教学过程

Pre-reading

Step1: Greetings

Look at some funny pictures.

Q1: What do you think of the picture?

Q2: How do you feel?

Step2: Warm up&Revision

1. Watch and say

Watch a video and say the words about feelings.

2. Game: I say, he does, you guess

Teacher whispers a word to a student, he does the action, others guess his feeling. Practice these sentences:

·How does he/she feel?

·He/She feels...

He/She is...

While-reading

Step3: Presentation

1. Fun time 1: Guess and order(Group work)

A. Each of students has a slip of paper, read first then talk in group, order and stick the sentences on the big card.

B. Watch and check .

2. Fun time 2: Describe and match (Group work)

A. Observe 4 pictures and describe.

B. Work in groups, put the pictures in the correct position.

3. Fun time 3: Read and discuss

A. Students read the story by themselves and circle the words or phrases that they can't understand.

B. Ask and solve the problems.

The difficult words and phrases:

stuck/ mud/ pull... out of/ won’t

C. Teacher emphasizes the points again and illustrates others that students are not mentioned.

4. Fun time 4: Fill in the blanks.

5. Fun time 5: Listen and repeat

Post-reading

Step4. Practice

1. Fun time 6: Retell the story (Pair work)

A. Look at the blackboard, retell the story with partner.

B. Show time: Tell the story to the classmates.

2. Fun time 7: Create and practice (Group work)

Change the story into a play, then practice.

3. Fun time 8: Cartoon show

(Group work)

Act out the play.

Step5. Consolidation

1. Emotional aim:

We should always be nice to each other.

2. Do self-evaluation.

Step6. Homework

1. Listen and read the story.

2. Tell the story to your parents.

3. Act out and record your play, then upload to our public mailbox.
