Step 1

1）师：Tomorrow is Saturday .Let’s go hiking . hike 徒步旅行 而 walk 是指一般的走路。

go doing去干什么，去做某项运动。常见的短语有：

go fishing go swimmimg go dancing go ice-skating go hiking 教学这些词组，带读并反复操练。

师：Do you like hiking?

生：Yes. Hiking is my hobby. 2) 师：How often do you go hiking?

How often多久一次？常用来对某种行为的频度进行提问。

For example:

How often do you go to see your grandma?

How often does he come home?

How often do they go fishing?

3） Once a week.一周一次。对于频度的提问，常回答在单位时间里进行的次数是什么。如：

Once a month. 一月一次 once a week 一周一次

Once a year 一年一次 twice a day 一天二次

Three times a year. 一年三次

Six times a season. 一个季度六次

区分：sometimes often usually always

均为频度副词，表示某一行为在一个单位时间里发生的次数有多少。sometimes 有时

often 经常

usually通常 always

总是

而 never 是一个完全否定的副词，表示从来没有。这些频度副词用于一般现在时态，常放在行为动词之前。 For example: I sometimes go shopping with my mother on Sunday. Do the students often have lunch at school? What do you usually do after work? 下班后你常干什么？

I usually do some sports . I often go bike riding. Sometimes I go roller skating. My father always rides his bike to work. Mir Smith doesn’t like swimming.He never goes swimming with Betty. T: What’s the weather like today? Ss: It’s hot. T: Yes, it’s so hot. I want to go swmimming. Do you like swimming? Ss: Yes, I do. T: How often do you go swimmimg in summer? S1: Very often. I go swimming about twice a week. T: What about you? ( 用类似方法提问3-4位学生)

2. Quick look game T: Let’s play a game to go over the vacabulary. Look at the cards and say out the words as quick as you can. Are you ready? Go!

3. Sing a song T: Good job. Now let’s sing the song How often do you go fishing?

Step 2 Presentation 1.Learn the Conversation. T: You’re good singers. Some of you like hiking. Some like dancing. Do you know what does Jenny like doing? What does Gogo like doing? T: Now, let’s watch and listen carefully. Then answer these questions: a.

What’s Jenny reading? b.

Does Jenny like hiking? c.

How often does Jenny go hiking? d.

What does Gogo like doing? e.

How often does Gogo go ice-skating? f.

Is Gogo good at ice-skating? Why? T: Listen again and I want somebody to tell the answers. T: Do you know what’s Jenny doing, S1? S1: Jenny is reading about hiking.

(提问个别学生回答问题a-e) T: Let’s look at question f, what’s the meaning of “is good at”? Ss: 善长于。

T：Yes, “be good at”

means “善长于，在某方面做得好” . Translate these sentences:

a. 我善长跳舞。

b. Tony 的数学学得很好。

c. 我的叔叔很会钓鱼。

T: Is Gogo good at ice-skating?

Ss: No, he isn’t.

T: Why? Ss: He goes to see the doctor about twice a month. T: That’s the point. You got it. Jenny says: “Wow! You must be good at ice-skating!”, Pay attention to “You must be good at” , it means 猜测你善长于某事, 不一定是事实。

T：Now, can you guess what am I good at? S1: You must be good at singing! T: Not really. S2: You must be good at …

2. Pair work T: Let’s practice the sentence pattern in pairs: A: You must be good at…

B: Not really.

3. T: Now, let’s listen the conversation again and this time repeat.

4. Role play T: Let’s read the conversation. Group 1 & 2 to be Gogo. Group 3 & 4 to be Jenny. T: Now practice in pairs: one to be Gogo. The other to be Jenny. After 3 minutes, I’ll ask some pairs come to the blackboard and act out the conversation. ( T goes around and provides help if necessary.)
