Ⅰ. Teaching Aims: 

Knowledge objective:

learn the new words: safety, truck, notice, injury, signal, pay attention to, in case of , first aid, in a word, look out 2.

Review Adverbial Clauses of Condition. 

Skill objective:

1. To summary the topic sentence of each paragraph. 2. To get information about the safety rules of bicycle riding. 3. To write out a short passage about bicycle riding.



Moral objective：To strengthen the sense of traffic safety. Ⅱ. Teaching Method: PWP method, task-based method

Ⅲ. Teaching Procedures Step1 warming up

Show some pictures and lead in. Step2 Presentation Pre-reading: Learn the new words (The teacher shows the pictures of new words).

Step3 Practice 1.

Fast reading:

1) Read 1a quickly, match the topic sentence with each paragraph.(1b) 2) Choose a suitable title for the passage.
