教学设计说明

学生情况分析:

四年级学生活泼好动,有着极强的求知欲与表现欲,对故事学习尤感兴趣。经过了三年多的英语学习后,他们已经积累了一定的语言知识(包括词汇与语言结构),对身边的人和事物产生着较为浓厚的兴趣,也具备了一定的听说读写能力。

在学习本单元内容之前,他们已经初步接触过Mother’s Day和Children’s Day的学习,感受到某些节日文化;同时,他们也能较为熟练地运用to be、can句型、there be句型、一般现在时态的相关内容进行表达与交流。

模块教学任务分析:

4B M4的学习主题为More things to learn,涉及大千世界的各个方面。本模块涉及到的词汇涉及常见的乐器、中国四大传统节日以及某些特定的自然景物;语法与时态则包括can句型、to be 句型(如:Whose …is it?)、现在进行时态和一般现在时态等。就一般现在时态,包含一般疑问句以及回答、特殊疑问句以及回答(如What festivals do you like? 、What do you usually do...?)等各类句式。

虽然之前也曾涉及过某些节日(如母亲节、儿童节等)的学习,但本模块涉及的节日文化气息更浓,包括了四大最传统的中国节日,涉及的信息量也更显完整,有所在的月份、当时的气候、人们的行为以及特殊的食物等;此外,涉及到的故事较之以往也更为生动、有趣。

可以说,本模块的学习内容更趋丰富,人文特征体现更为明显,对学生的语言学习要求和能力要求也更为提高。

通过本模块的学习,帮助学生能更好地认识周遭世界,感受学习生活的多样、回味生活世界的美妙、了解国家的文化与习俗、体验传统的节日文化。在此过程中,逐步学会合理安排各自的生活与学习,积累一定的生活经验。

本模块是选学模块,因此,在实施教学时,教师要基于学情、师情与世情,进行适当调整与筛选,力求实现语言知识的获取、语言能力的形成以及文化情感的体验。

单元教学任务分析:

通过本单元的学习,要求学生能初步感受国家的四大传统节日,掌握其名称表达;通过What festival do you like? What do you usually do …? 等问答获取相关的节日信息;能结合频度副词来表述这些传统节日的风俗习惯与民间活动,包括时间、天气、庆祝的方式以及人们的饮食等,初步形成某一重要节日较为完整的认识与了解。同时,能结合所学,对不同的节日进行问答训练和简单表述,加强对我国传统文化的感知和了解,进行适时的情感教育。

1、各学习项目分析

Look and learn: 核心学习板块。主要进行四大中国传统节日名称的教学,重点是the Spring Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Mid-autumn Festival和the Double Ninth Festival等。

Listen and say: 核心学习板块。主要进行句型学习,重点是:What festivals do you like? I like... . 以及What do you usually do...? 等;在此基础上,能对中国的四大传统节日作进一步表述,了解更多的相

关信息。

Say and act: 语言活动与练习板块。通过角色扮演活动,进一步感受中国的传统节日----重阳节,培养学生从小养成尊敬长辈的好品行。

Look and read: 语言活动与练习板块。以学生熟悉的传统节日——春节为例,通过阅读延伸,进一步了解该节日;借助春节的语篇阅读,提高对传统节日文化的认识,提高学生的学习兴趣与语言表达能力。

Ask and answer: 语言活动与练习板块。通过问答训练,进一步运用Listen and say 中的核心内容,有序形成相关的节日信息。

Think and write: 语言活动与练习板块。结合单元学习核心,借助有序的语段描写,培养学生的写作段能力,实现技能的全面训练。

Listen and enjoy: 语言欣赏板块。通过朗朗上口的儿歌,综合复习一日三餐、餐具名词和动词等词汇,在培养学生良好的语感的同时,感受饮食文化。

2、知识要点介绍

(1)能学习和掌握四大中国传统节日名称,如:the Spring Festival,the Dragon Boat Festival, the Mid-autumn Festival, the Double Ninth Festival等以及festival, rice dumpling等相关词汇,做到音、形、义的统一;

(2)能进一步学习和巩固频度副词,如:usually,often等,能在特殊疑问句的问答操练中正确运用;

(3)能进一步学习和掌握一般现在时的特殊疑问句及其问答,如:What festivals do you like? I like... .What do you usually do...?,逐步形成对某一节日较为完整的信息获取(如:节日名称、所在的月份、当时的天气、人们的活动以及特殊的食物等);

(4)能学习和掌握What about you? Do you know? That’s all right.

等日常用语,学会用Happy the Double Ninth Festival!等话语祝福他人。

(5)能运用所学的词汇与句型(一般现在时)来合理描述某一中国的传统节日。

Material 1:

I like the Mid-autumn Festival. It comes in September or October. The weather is often cool and dry. The moon is usually round and bright at night. It looks like a ball. We can look at the moon and eat mooncakes in the garden.

I like the Dragon Boat Festival. It is also Duanwu Festival. It is always in May or June. It’s hot, sunny or rainy. We can eat rice dumplings and watch dragon boat races. We can eat different kinds of rice dumplings. They are very delicious.

I like the Double Ninth Festival. It is a Chinese festival. It comes in October. It is cool and dry. On that day, We can eat Double Ninth cakes and climb mountains. The cakes are sweet and nice. Many students like visiting old people. They can get together and have a good time.

Material 2: Qu Yuan was born about two thousand years ago in China.

He loved his country very much. The old king always took his advice. Later, the new king lost a battle because he did not take Qu Yuan’s advice.

The country was in danger.

Qu Yuan was very sad. He jumped into a river and died.

So today, people eat rice dumplings and have dragon boat races to remember him on that day every year.

The Spring Festival The Spring Festival is an important festival in China. It usually comes in January or February. It’s snowy and cold. We also call it the Chinese New Year.
