一、教学内容分析：

本单元以“水”为话题，以描述水的循环过程为主线。通过女孩Dora和“一滴水”之间的对话，让学生了解水从自然界进入家庭的过程，切实体会到水的珍贵，由此树立爱护水源、节约用水的意识，同时对描述事物发展进程的方法有初步的了解。

二、学情分析：

1. 初一（4）班是一个电脑派位班，学生英语基础比较薄弱。通过以往的学习，他们已经初步掌握了阅读的技能，这节课主要是巩固阅读的微技能（略读、找读和猜词词义）。

2. 学生在上个单元刚刚学习了以树木为主题的环保内容，对于本单元有关节约用水的环保话题也会比较关注和熟悉，但是对于水循环过程的英语表述比较陌生，需要通过读说写的活动加强学习和训练，以提高综合运用英语的能力。

三、教学目标：

（一）语言知识：

理解目标词汇的含义：add, chemical, drop, fresh, journey, on, pipe, salt, through, valuable, voice以及短语turn off, add…to…等；认识单词reservoir。

（二）语言技能：

1. 通过略读和找读文章，获取文章主旨大意。

2. 通过上下文语境猜测生词的基本含义。

3. 强化音标与单词拼写的联系，提高学生音形结合记忆单词的能力。

4. 根据流程图及关键词复述水的循环过程。

（三）情感态度：

了解水循环的过程，体会节约用水的重要性，树立爱护水源、节约用水的意识。

四、教学重点：

1. 学习并掌握水的循环过程。

2. 了解主阅读文章的内容，学习核心单词和短语。

五、教学难点：

根据流程图及关键词复述水的循环过程。

六、教学过程：
