The old tortoise and the little bird

An old tortoise lives by a small pond. It is nice and quiet He likes the pond very much. ‘It’s my pond,’ he says.

One day, a little bird comes. She likes the pond too, and she comes everyday. She always has a bath in the pond and sings some songs.

The old tortoise says, ‘Are you singing or crying? It’s too loud. I don’t like it.’ ‘ I’m sorry,’ The little bird says and flies away. The pond is quiet again.

‘ It’s my pond now,’ the old tortoise thinks. He drinks some water, and then has a nap. He is happy. But a week later, he is unhappy again. ‘It’s too quiet,’ He says.
