Unit1 Seasons and Weather (复习课) 一、

教材分析

本单元选自粤人民2011课标版三年级起点《英语》五年级上册第一单元Unit1 Seasons and Weather。

本课学习关于季节与天气的spring, summer, fall, winter, sunny, windy, cloudly, rainy等八个单词和What’s the weather like in ...? It’s ... Is it...in...? Yes, it is. No, it isn’t.等相关句型。掌握字母组合oon在单词中的发音规律。

二、

学情分析

1.五年级的学生大多数活泼开朗，乐于模仿，求知欲望和模仿能力都比较强，对新鲜事物开始思考，喜欢与伙伴共同游戏、学习，合作完成任务。

2.学生在学习Unit1 Seasons and Weather之前，已经掌握了关于服饰、运动和活动的相关单词和短语，如pants, dress, read, sing, play basketball, play outside, make a snowman等，能使用What do you do on...? I like... I want to...等简单的句型表达穿着的服饰和喜爱的活动。

三、教学目标

（一）语言知识目标

1.了解字母组合oon在单词中的发音规律，能根据发音规律正确拼读简单的单词。能正确认读8个季节与天气单词。

2.能理解和运用What’s the weather like in ...? It’s ...Is it...in...?谈论季节和天气的话题。

3.能用What do you do/ wear/ eat...? What do you want to do in ...?来描述特定天气下穿着的服饰和喜爱的活动等。

（二）语言技能目标

1.听：能听懂常用指令和要求并做出反应；能听懂天气预报等简单语段，获取主要信息。

2.说：能对季节话题用What’s the weather like in ...? It’s ...Is it...in...?进行简单对话；能根据图片用简单的语言描述主题；能参与角色表演等活动。

3.读：能掌握扫读微技能，从简单的文章中找出有关信息，理解大意；能掌握猜词义微技能，根据上下文猜测生词意思。

4.写：能根据图片、词语或例句的提示，为小组出行计划写出简单的语句。

（三）情感态度目标

1.能体会到英语学习的乐趣，大胆开口。

2.能在小组活动中积极与他人合作，相互帮助，共同完成学习任务。

四、教学重难点

（一）教学重点 1.掌握字母组合oon在单词中的发音规律及8个季节与天气单词。

2.能理解和运用What’s the weather like in ...? It’s ...Is it...in...? What do you do/ wear/ eat...? What do you want to do in ...?谈论关于季节、天气和服饰、活动的话题。

3.掌握扫读和猜词义微技能，从简单的文章中找出有关信息，理解大意，根据上下文猜测生词意思。

（二）教学难点

1.学生初次接触阅读微技能，在运用微技能时熟练程度上存在问题，在阅读长句时可能存在困难。

2.学生在完成小组合作任务时要克服独立自我的问题，积极与他人合作，相互帮助，共同完成学习任务。

五、教学过程

StepⅠ.

Warm-up 1.

TPR Game T asks “What’s the weather like today?”. Ss answer and do with T. “It’s rainy. Rainy, rainy, rainy.”

Guessing Game One student to be Mr.Weather, act in the front of the classroom. Whole class ask“What’s the weather like today?”and have a guess, “It’s ...”. 【A TPR game and a guessing game to arouse Ss’ interest and review the words and sentences】

StepⅡ. Pre-reading （listening）

1. T shows the pictures of four seasons and weather. Ss look at the pictures, answer the questions and try to ask. 2. pair work. Ss point at the pictures, ask and answer with “What’s the weather like in ...? It’s ... Is it...in...? Yes, it is. No, it isn’t.”in pair. Then, T invites some students to present. 3. T: So, different seasons have different weather. Also, different cities have different weather. Do you know what’s the weather like in Zhuhai? Let’s listen to a weather report to know the weather in Zhuhai. Ss Listen to a weather report, and choose the weather for different cities.

StepⅢ. While-reading 1.

T sets up a situation that we are going to read a newspaper. T: What about Zhuhai weather in four seasons? Let’s read. Task1: Finding friends Ss read the text and fill in the blanks for specific information. 【A task for Ss to practice the reading subskill of scanning.】

Task2: meeting friends Ss guess the meaning of some new words according to the context. 【A task for Ss to practice the reading subskill of word guessing and learn more about the new words.】

Ss watch vedio to learn the phonic of –oon, learn to blend the words with –oon. and then chant in a lovely rhyme. 【Phonic teaching in a situation for Ss to pratice the skill of word blending.】

Review some words and expression of clothes. “I wear...in ... days.”

【To guide Ss to choose clothes for different weather.The warm prompt is an emotional education for Ss in their real life.】

Review some words and expression of activities. “It’s... We can... We can’t...”

【To guide Ss to plan activities for different weather.】

StepⅣ.

Post-reading (writing) 1. Group work. T creates a situation that Luhan is coming to Zhuhai. Suppose Ss are his agents, work in group and help him finish his plan. 2. Draw weather symbols. Ss listen and draw the weather symbols. 3. Choose the suitable clothes. Ss choose the sutable clothes and stick on their paper. 4. Design your activities. Ss discuss and design their activities. 5. T invites some groups to present their masterpieces.
