Ⅰ. Material analysis

本节课主要活动为Section C。本节课的课型为阅读课。通过对课文的阅读了解西方餐桌礼仪。在Pre-reading环节里，首先播放憨豆先生的视频和现场摆放餐具,引起学生的兴趣。然后将这些词汇填入课文旁边的图片里加以巩固。本课将While-reading分为三个步骤。

第一遍，速读课文，了解文章大意,选择最佳标题。第二遍，听课文，完成选词填空。第三遍,读文章, 完成1b的判断。设计表格的目的是要求学生注重细节，同时为复述课文做准备。在Post-reading环节里，让学生小组合作, 完成思维导图, 复述并表演出西餐，然后讨论中国的餐桌礼仪，完成书面表达并做汇报，告诉学生需要入乡随俗。

Ⅱ. Teaching aims

Students will be able to:

Listen, speak and understand new words and phrases：fork, knife, spoon, plate, napkin, eat up, table manners, drink to sb.

Learn about the reading methods and develop their reading skills.

Talk about western table manners freely.

Use the key phrases and sentences to write some suggestions about Chinese table manners.

Realize different table manners in different countries and use them in the daily life.

Pre-reading Task 1: Video watching to consolidate sentence structure and words like fork, knife, spoon, plate, napkin, eat up etc. Task 2: Set the table by oneself to arouse their interest. 3.

While-reading Task 1: Listen and fill in the blanks. Task2: Read the passage and mark T or F. 4.

Draw mind-map and retell and do 5.
