The First Period 【教材分析】:本课时是PEP教材五年级下册Unit 2 《My favourite season》A部分的第一课时,围绕四个季节展开,其对话内容与之前学过的What’s your favourite …? What’ the weather like?及天气相关的词句有密切的关系。本节课主学习有关季节的词汇spring ,summer, fall, winter以及运用What’s your favorite season?交流的能力。通过四季活动培养学生积极的生活态度,培养学生的英语学习的兴趣,并能切实地感到英语学习的实际价值。 【教学目标】:(Teaching aims)
【教具准备】:多媒体课件、单词卡片和图片。

Ⅰ.Warm-up 1.Greetings.

Let’s chant:
Mmm!
It’s warm today! Take off your jacket! Phew!
It’s hot today! Put on your T-shirt! Oooh!
It’s cool today! Put on your sweater! Brrr!
It’s cold today! Put on your coat!
II. Presentation
T: Oh, Well done.Can you find out the words of
the weather?
warm,hot,cool and cold.
Sometimes it’s warm,sometimes it’s hot,sometimes it’s cool ,sometimes it’s cold.
Do you know why ?Because there are different weather in different seasons . 引出本单元的课题:My favourite season(板书课题)
a. Look at the picture of planting trees,spring ,出示卡片,领读,集体读,个人读。
b.出示太阳镜sunglasses,引出summer,以同样的方法教读单词。
c、拿出苹果,问
Have you ever picked up the apples ? Which season is the best time to pick apples ?引出summer教读单词。
d.How many seasons are there in a year ? Four .We
have learned spring ,summer and autumn ,what is the last season of the year ? 引出winter
III. Practice

Let’s guess. Which season is it ?
b.Let’s guess and spell the words .

c. Pair work:Ask and answer.
The teacher invites some students to make dialogues, ask two or three groups to act.对每一组表演的同学提出表扬和鼓励。
(设计意图:通过对话活动来操练句型,激发兴趣的同时让学生熟练句型、应用句型。)
IV. Consolidation
Let’s chant. 通过说唱Let’s chant部分的歌谣巩固复习Let’s learn部分的动词短语和句子。
