Step 1 Warm-up 1 Greetings. 2 Play a guessing game. According to some tips, guess the four seasons in a year. 3 Free talk. Is it spring now? What can you do in spring? Step 2 Presentation

1 Show a picture. And talk about it :

1)----What are the children doing in the picture? ---- They are planting trees. Write “planting trees”on the blackboard,and then read together. 2) ----Can you guess when did they take those photos?

----It was on the Tree Planting Day. Learn the new phrase “Tree Planting Day”and the sentence “Tree Planting Day in China is on 12th March.”

2 Lead into Part A.

A) Listen to the radio once, and get the main idea of part A by answer those two questions: 1 What are those children doing?

2 What is the date today? B) Listen and repeat part A sentence by sentence. While repeat part A, emphasize the difficult words and senences. And learn the phrases: “keep the air clean, keep us cool, make the place beautiful”.

C) Open the books and ask students to read part A by themselves, and then answer those questions: 1 Why do people like to plant trees? 2 What things can trees do for us? 3 What kind of trees does Peter like to plant? When answer question 1, write the answer on the blackboard, and read the title together. D) Read part A together. Step 3 Practice. 1 Magic eyes.
