III. Teaching points: Key points: The words and the communicative sentences. Difficult points: To understand the whole story and use the communicative sentences correctly and freely. IV.

Teaching procedures:

Step1. Pre-reading. 1.

Free talk. 2.

Enjoy a song. Purpose: To lead in the title. Step 2: While-reading.

Watch and answer. Watch the cartoon and answer two questions: (1)

How many seasons are there in a year? (2)

What are they? Purpose: To teach the words of seasons. 2.

Read and match. Read the story and try to find the weather in each season and match. Purpose: To teach the words of weather. 3.

Play a game Purpose: To consolidate the words. 4.

Read and write. Read the story again, try to find the activities in each season and fill in the form. 5. Read after the tape. 6.Read in roles. Purpose: To lead the students to understand the story further and further. Enable them improve the skills of listening and reading. Step 3.Post-reading. 1.

Show time Act in group of 4. Purpose: Enable the students to use the new sentences and words freely and correctly. To check the learning effectiveness.

Protect the earth and enjoy the life. Step4. Homework. 1.

Read the text aloud with feelings. 2.
