How Much Is It?（第三课时）教学设计

一、Analysis of the teaching material （教材分析）

本节课选自陕西旅游出版社五年级英语第一册，这本教材汲取了先进的英语学习和教学理念及方法，从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认知水平出发，通过体验、实践、参与、合作与交流等学习方式帮助学生打好发展综合语言运用能力的基础，充分体现了科学性原则。教材围绕最基本的、最常用的英语词汇、句型和会话等设计课程内容，好教易学，具有较强的灵活性和趣味性。

本节课选自第六单元第三课时，本单元谈论和学习的话题是日常生活中的购物，关于这个话题在本单元所涉及的四会词汇有：shirt, T-shirt, a pair of shots, a pair of trousers/glasses/shoes, two pairs of socks; 本单元的功能结构有三个：1、学习如何在日常生活中主动提供服务或帮助：What can I do for you? 2、学习如何正确询问物品的价格：How much is it / are they?并能根据单复数准确作答：It’s / They’re...yuan. 3、学习How about...? It looks / They look ... We’ll take it / them.等购物语。

二、Analysis of the students（学情分析）

我们的学生是五年级的学生，他们活泼且对一切新鲜事物充满好奇，对英语也有较高的兴趣，经过两年的英语学习他们有了一定的英语基础知识，和老师之间也有良好的默契，所以在课堂上我主要把重点放在他们用英语交流上，且尽量运用歌曲、歌谣、图片和有趣的游戏时他们参与其中。

三、Teaching aims（教学目标）

1.Knowledge aims (1)

Review the words about clothes and the sentences we have learnt in last class. (2)

Ss can understand the meaning of “salesman/saleswoman” and the dialogue. (3)

Ss can master the following sentence patterns:

 I would like /I’d like...

---How much are they?

---They’re_____yuan.

I’ll/We’ll take it/them.

2.Ability aims

(1) Ss can read the dialogue fluently;

(2) Ss can use the sentence patterns to communicate with others when teacher create a situation. 3.Emotion aims Help the Ss foster the right attitude about money. 四、Teaching key points and difficult points （教学重难点）

1.Ss can read the dialogue fluently and emotionally; 2.Ss can use the key sentences to communicate with classmates; 3.Ss can act out this dialogue and make a new dialogue.

五、Teaching Methods （教学方法）

Task-based Teaching Method, CAI, Audio-visual Teaching Method, Communicative Teaching Method. 六、Teaching aids Pictures, word cards, video and PPT . 七、Teaching Procedures Step1. Warming-up (1)

Sing a song “The Clothing Song”; (2)

Show some pictures about poor children and show the money ;

Divide the Ss into two groups :Boys and Girls. （设计意图：通过多媒体让学生边看边唱，可以创造良好的英语学习环境，使他们快速进入英语课堂；在本课堂一开始出示一些贫苦地区的孩子并分组，让学生通过他们本节课的努力，挣钱并帮助这些学生，

不但使学生整堂课都处于竞争机制，激发学生主动参与课堂意识，而且从本节课一开始就贯穿了情感态度价值观。）

Step2. Leading-in (1)Playing a game “sharp eyes”

to review the words about clothes. (2) Review the phrases “a pair of/...pairs of” by

using “Lucky turntable”.

（设计意图：复习旧知可以激活学生原有知识，并对新课的学习做铺垫，利用PPT闪卡的方式和“幸运大转盘”可以使学生保持高度注意，并增加学生兴趣，同时进行奖励。）

Step3. Presentation (1)

Create a situation .(Before this, review the words “saleswoman/salesman, customer)

T:Look , there is a clothing shop. There are many beautiful clothes here. I want a shirt. T: I can also say “I would/I’d like a shirt.” What would you like? Ss: I would/I’d like a.... Then use the pictures on the PPT to make the Ss exercise the sentence patterns

（设计意图：俗话说英语教学“词不离句，句不离篇”，通过创设买东西的这个情境，运用之前学过的句子引入本课新句型，不但便于学生理解更能使他们印象深刻，巩固记忆，同时利用不同方法让学生们练习并用奖励机制进行辅之，进一步使学生注意力高度集中且亢奋。）

（3）Learn the sentences “---How much are they? They’re

____ yuan.

I’ll/We’ll take them/it.” Under the help of PPT. T：Look, what’s this?

Ss: It’s a dress/bag/shirt. T: Do you like it?

S1: Yes. T: Do you want to buy it? S1: Yes. T: OK. Then ask me the price. S1: How much is it? T: It’s ___ yuan.Will you take it? S1: That’s OK./ I’ll take it. Then show a picture of trousers , lead in the sentences “---How much are they? They’re ___ yuan.

I’ll take them.”

（设计意图：仍然创设情境，运用PPT出示一些东西和价钱，先帮助学生复习上节课学习过得句型How much is it? It’s ____ yuan. 然后引入新句型并练习，降低难度且便于学生对比理解针对单复数单词如何正确询问价钱。）

（4）Create a situation (clothes shop,saleswoman and customer), use the clothes made by ourselves to exercise the sentences, at the same time, lead to the “this one, these ones” . Make the Ss understand the difference by themselves. （5）Learn the dialogue

 Show the picture and let the Ss observe the picture carefully, then ask a question “What do they want?”

 Show the questions, then play the tape recorder, let the Ss listen to the dialogue 2 times. After that, check the answers. Ask and answer: a.

What color do they buy? b.

How much are they? c.

Why don’t they buy the blue ones?  Read the dialogue together.

（设计意图：通过任务型阅读法，先抛出问题然后在播放听力，让学生有针对性的把握重点，使学生变成学习的主人，始终主动地学习，且保持高度的积极性。）

Step4. Practice (1)

Read the dialogue in different roles。

（设计意图：通过分角色朗读加深学生对课文的理解记忆。）

Step5. Production “Let’s go shopping.”

Work in a group, T creats a situation and distribute the

clothes to each group，let the Ss make a dialogue and try to use the key sentences on the blackboard, then choose 1-3 groups to have a show. （设计意图：创设买卖东西的场景，并向学生发放他们之前做的衣服

和教师准备的假人民币，让学生们根据课文自由设计对话，大大提高了学生的兴趣，也有利于老师检查本节课的教学效果。）

Step6. Summary (1) Let the Ss stick the money that they have earned in this class on the blackboard,then count, praise the winners. (2) Let the Ss know the value of money, if they have money, don’t waste it, save it, help the poor children. “More love, more change.”

（设计意图：通过本课升让学生知道钱来之不易，认识钱的价值，从而升华到情感价值目标。）

Step7. Homework (1)

Read the dialogue 3 times after class; (2)

Continue to complete the dialogue, show it in the next class.
