本话题是第六单元的第二个话题，主要是通过一篇介绍Kangkang,Michael和Darren在天安门广场浏览的阅读活动呈现教学主体内容。本节课以Bill的旅行经历入手导出Darren的旅行经历，在与话题紧扣的内容中进一步学习时间状语从句的用法，同时呈现本单元重要词汇和短语。学生通过阅读文本，并根据图片信息重述故事。通过静默阅读，讨论及齐读的方式感知文本。最后对于文本进行迁移，已达到学以致用的目的。
