Ⅰ Pre-task preparation

1. Warming-up:

Enjoy a song ”Decorate the Christmas Tree” together.

2. Free talk: T: Do you know it is about which festival? Ss: Christmas. Show Ss some pictures about Christmas. Ask:What do you see? Ss: I see a Christmas card/ tree/ stocking/ present/ turkey/...

Ⅱ While-task procedure 教

1. Show Ss the leading role: Santa Clause. Listen: What does he

say?(Merry Christmas! ) Who can imitate his voice?

2. T: What can we answer? (Merry Christmas! ) What will he do? Play a 学

sound clip. Let Ss be a little translator. Teach the word “present”. Play “Clap

and Say”. ( Read one by one.)

3. Show Ss a Christmas tree with many presents. T: Wow! There are many 过

presents! Let’s count. Six presents. Teach ”presents”. Open them(T&Ss): pencil, ball, rabbit, car, plane, apple.

4. Show Ss a Christmas tree. Teach ”tree”. T: What colour is it? Play “Tina Says”. 程

5. Point the star at the top of Christmas tree. Teach the word “star”(bling bling star). Read in rows.

6. Play the sound of “bell”. T: What’s the sound? Teach ”bell”. Play “Magic Fingers ”.

7. Review four words by playing “No voice and guess” & “Bomb game”.

8. Let Ss decorate a Christmas tree. S123 as a little teacher to read the words we’ve learned.

Ⅲ Post-task activities

1. Enjoy a story. (Book P28) T: How many people there?

2. Teach the sentence: Merry Christmas! Here are your presents. 1) Read after T. 2) Read after the tape. 3) Role Play. Wear a Christmas hat. T&S/S1&Ss.

3. Appreciate some beautiful pictures about Christmas.

4. Western countries: Christmas Day VS China: Spring Festival What do we do at Spring Festival? Cherish family love, to be thankful!

Assignments: Listen to the tape and read after it on Page28,29.
