播放PPT。T:How do you know what season it is?(spring, summer, autumn, winter) 2.Ask and answer:
Who’s the lady in green? She’s Miss Spring. Miss Spring. Who’s the lady in purple? She’s Miss Summer. Miss Summer. Who’s the lady in orange? She’s Miss Autumn. Miss Autumn.
Who’s the big man? He’s Mr Giant. Mr Giant. 3.解释giant. Look at the giant. He is big and tall. His head is big. He has a big mouth and two big eyes. He has two big hands and two big feet too. He is very strong. He lives in a big house. (castle) 4.播放故事录音,回答问题:
1). Who lives in the big house?(A giant lives in the big house.)
2). What do the children like to do?(They like to play in the giant’s garden.)
3). Do the children have a lot of fun?(Yes, they do.)
4).Look at the sign. What does it say?(It says “No entry!”) 5).What happens then?(Now the children cannot play in his garden.) 6).Who comes here?(Miss Spring comes here.) 7).What does Miss Spring bring? (She brings flowers and birds.) 5.将学生分为四人或六人一组,要求每组学生小组讨论,用已学的语句描述图片(每组两幅)。
6.要求各小组根据讨论结果向全班作介绍,教师进行指导和总结。

教学反思:
本课的学习主要是初步了解故事大意。利用多媒体出示一些学生熟悉的儿童故事书的封面,如《丑小鸭》《三只小猪》《小红帽》等,与学生对话、练习 (Watch and natch)及四季景物的欣赏导入新课。然后通过PPT逐段学习故事内容(听说、分组讨论、练习、复述等)。特别是采用Low-high朗读故事时,学生激情四射、兴趣浓厚、学得愉快。
结合课文学习生词、关键词有实效。
板书关键词及排序练习为学生复述1-4段内容埋下了有效伏笔。
