。在认真研究分析教材的基础上,针对五年级学生的实际,确定了本课时的教学设计。
本节课是开心版教材小学英语五年级下册Unit3 On Vacation的Vocabulary教学。本单元主要是教学为将来假期制定计划的话题,它承接上一单元,即Unit2 Vacation Plans这一单元的延续。本课时是本单元的第一课时,通过学习新短语,熟悉What are you going to do 教学内容
during the vacation? I am going to…的用法,为下节课的教学打下基础。本课时容量较大,但难度不大,与学生生活联系紧密,能使学生联想实际,学以致用,并充分调动了学生的英语学习兴趣。

教学方法

学情分析
1、本节课的教学对象是五年级学生。学生思维较活跃,爱唱爱思考,表现欲强,富有想象力和创造力,在英语学习方面普遍存在较大兴趣,但注意力不够集中,对英语掌握程度一般;
2、五年级学生已经具备两年多英语学习的基础,是在逐渐培养学习习惯和行为习惯的阶段,我把学习重点放在了基础知识的学习和归纳上,使学生能够牢固掌握每单元目标词汇及句型,并能应用于实际生活中;
3、本节课是第六册教材中第三单元词汇及目标句型的教学,学生能够较容易地通过日常的观察以及联系实际经验掌握内容,极大调动学生的积极性。
Teaching Procedures Step 1. Warming-up: 1. Greetings: T: Hello, boys and girls! How are you today? Ss: I’m fine, thank you.
T: Today is a nice day. Before we have a new lesson, let’s play a flashing game. 2. Flashing Game T shows some pictures and questions on the screen. Ss try to catch the meaning of the pictures and answer the questions according to those pictures as quickly as possible.
3. Sing a song 2
T plays the tape. Ss watch the video and sing along with the tape together.
Step 2. Guide-in: 1. T: What’s the date today? S1: It’s April 7th. T: What’s the month after April. S2: It’s May.
T shows a calendar on the screen and says: May Day is coming. We are going to have a three-day calendar. Do you have any plans for your vacation? Ss will answer: I am going to… with the phrases that they’ve learned before.
2. T: Boys and girls have your own plans already. Miss Zhou also has a vacation plan for May Day. Do you want to know?
T plays the tape. Ss listen to T’s Vacation plan.
May Day is coming. I’m going to Hong Kong with my dad. During the vacation, in the morning, I’m going to take some photos and help dad. In the afternoon, I’m going to have a picnic, play with friends and visit relatives. In the evening, I’m going to make models, surf the Internet and read books. I’m going to have fun.
T: If you don’t understand my plan, it doesn’t matter. After you learn the new phrase, you’ll understand it.
Step 3. Presentation: 1. Let’s learn
(1) take photos: On a sunny day, I’m going to take photos during the vacation. (compare a photo and two photos); (2) help dad: My father is going to take photos, too. I want to help him. I can say I’m going to help dad. We should help others. Who can we help? (help mom, help sister…)
(3) have a picnic: In the afternoon, let’s shop for some food and bring it to the park. I’m going to have a picnic in the park. (4) play with friends: I’m going to play with friends.
(5) visit relatives: I’m going to visit relatives.
(6) make models: In the evening, it’s getting dark. I’m going to stay in my room and make models. Can you make models? (7) surf the Internet: I’m going to surf the Internet. Do you like surfing the Internet?
(8) read books: Before sleeping, I’m going to read books. As a student, we should read more books.
2. Let’s listen to the tape and read the vocabulary after it.

Step 3. Activities 1. Let’s say out the phrases
T shows some pictures of the eight phrases of this lesson. Ss should say out the phrases according the pictures. 2. Let’s talk (pair work)
T makes a model with a partner: - What are you going to do during the vacation? –
I’m going to…
Ss are given 3 minutes to ask and answer with deskmates.
3. Let’s practice (group work): Roll the Dice
•
Every student in four people groups takes a clip of
different colors to represent himself. •
Ss roll the dice in turns, and walk forward on the paper sheet according to the number they get from the dice. •
Make a sentence with “I’m going to…” based on the
pictures on the paper sheet. •
The first one who get to the final is the winner. 4. Let’s complete
T shows Ss the plan with several blanks, which T has played it by the tape in the Guide-in part Ss make the plan completed with the use of the vocabulary 5. Let’s make our plans
Ss make their own plan referring to the teacher’s.
Step 4. Summary: Ss will summarize what they have learn in this class with the help of T. T tell Ss that we should make plans before starting doing something, which will be of great help. Step 5. Homework Ss tell their own plans to their families or friends 4

本节课我采用了多种评价方式,激发学生的学习兴趣,有效提高了课堂效率。
1.口头表扬。当学生表现出色,教师给予及时的表扬,如Good! Excellent! Well done等;当学生无法正确发音时,教师要及时给予帮助和引导,当学生克服困难并再次表现出色时,评价方式
教师也要适时给予鼓励和表扬。
2. 小组评价。为了开展小组评价,把学生分为四组。在课堂教学中,及时全面地记录小组成员的表现情况,最后根据评比结果表扬获胜组,激励全班同学。
