Teaching aims: Students are able to understand the story with the pictures. Students are able to read and act out the story. Students are able to use the sentence patterns in the story. Students are able to know they should love their school. Teaching focus: Students are able to use the sentence patterns“Is this/that the …?”“Yes, is. ” “No, it isn’t. ” in real situations. Teaching difficulties: The usage of “It’s time for lunch.”

Show the pictures of our school,and then let students try to praise it.

Look at the pictures of the story and answer: Mr. Hippo is going to lead us to visit his school. How many students are there? Who are they? 3.

Present the story picture by picture. Picture 1 Guess: What will Mr.Hippo say? Picture 2 Where are they? Picture 3 What will the Monkey answer? (Pay attention to the usage of “this” and “that” ) Picture 4 How does Mr.Hippo introduce the gym? Picture 5 If you are the Rabbit,what will you say? Guess what Zoom think about? 4.

Watch the video. Picture 6 It’s 12 o’clock, it’s time for dinner.But how many students are there now? Who’s missing? Watch the video and find where Zoom is. 5.Discuss: What do you want to say to Zoom? Step 3 Practice. 1.
