Teaching Procedures Step 1. Warming-up a. Greetings. b. Chant:“What can you do？”

Step 2. Presentation and Practice 1. Learn the new sentences and five words. (1)Present the new sentences. a. Through the picture and ask the sentences “What can you do?”

The students look at the picture and answer “I can ...”

b. Lead in the new sentences “What can you do? I can ...”with the new word “run”. The teacher writes the sentences on the blackboard.

c. Practice the new sentences with the chain game. (2) Learn the new word in the new sentences and practice them in different ways. a. Present the next four new words in the new sentences in different ways. 

Show the pictures and the new sentences ，and teach the next four new

words. b. Train the students to use the new words and sentences correctly. c. Play a game. d. Finish the part and write down the answers.

2. Learn “Listen and say”.

a. Look at the picture, and answer “Who are they? ”. Then listen to the tape, and translate the sentences. b. Ask the students to look at the book and repeat the dialogue sentence by sentence after the radio. c. Listen again and work in groups. Do more practice and fill in the blanks according to the text in different ways.

d. Check up the dialogue in groups.

e. Read the dialogue in group and try to recite. Ask some groups to read the text in roles. Step 3. Consolidation 1. Show the ppt, and practice more words and sentences.

2.Ask students

to make new dialogues in groups . Ask some groups to act out their new dialogues.

Step 4. Summary Ask the students to sum up the contents they’ve learned in this class. Step 5. Homework Ask the students to make up a dialogue and talk about their abilities confidently.
