学生能理解本课文本，并能运用文中的句型谈论兴趣爱好、职业。

引导学生通过学习文本思考如何实现自己的职业梦想。

教学过程：

Ⅰ.Greeting

Ⅱ.Pre-writing T: First, let’s have guessing game. Look at the sentences(点击PPT) Who can read it? S: She likes helping people. She often helps them recover. She works in a hospital. T: What does she do? S: Doctor. (T: Doctors are very great, they cure the patients. People call them angels.)

T: Next one. He likes sports . He is good at basketball. He teaches basketball. He works in a

gym. What does he do? S: Coach.(T: do you want to be a coach?) T: The last one, Let’s read it together. He likes science. He often does experiments. He works in a university. What does he do? S: Scientist.

T: Doctor/ Coach/ Scientist, pilot/ driver/scientist/ cook/ reporter/we can call them career . Ok, there are many careers , what do you want to be? /What are you going to be in the future?(黑板上用思维导图的方式呈现职业) S: I want to be ……

T: I think…. is your dream, （将dream 词条贴在黑板）but Why do you want to be?

S: because I like ……

T: This is your hobby,（将hobby词条贴在黑板）

but how can you make your dream come true?(将HOW词条贴在黑板上) T: Maybe we can find answer in your text. Please open your book , turn to page52, read it quickly and answer my question. How many people in the text? Who are they?(3分钟) （学生迅速阅读，回答问题）

T: First, let’s tick or cross. S:(教师播放录音第一段，学生阅读后回答问题，PPT呈现,同时在黑板Hobby旁边写上Name ：Hubin Hobby: sports,

Dream: coach) T：Do you think he can be a coach? Why? S: Yes, because he is good at……. He often ……. T: (在黑板上写出Hu Bin 怎么做的，最后梦想实现的流程图) Look, because sports are his hobbies, he likes it very much, and he often practises , so in the future, he can be a coach, from the text, we know he also can be a sports reporter, or a PE teacher.

Discussion in group T: Well , Hubin, Sarah, Robin they have dream , they like , they try, maybe they can be what they want . How about you? I think you can imagine your career in the future .First, you can think about the three questions. And you can make a discussion with your partners. Writing a letter T: (What do you like? What do you want to be? Where are you going to work? How to make it come true? I think you have your ideas. Look , this is a time box , you can write a letter for your future selves , (出示信纸), seal it in the envelope. put it in this box, I’ll keep it, After twenty years , when you come back and open it. I think that’s very interesting and this is a big surprise for you. Please write. S: 学生完成书信。

T：My daughter also wrote a letter for her future self . let’s listen.(播放May的视频) Would you like to share your letter?(学生分享他们的信件。4个人)
