Unit 2 Part A 一、教学内容：五年级下册Unit 2 Part A.

二、教学目标： 1.能用所学语言描述动物的大小、外观等特点。 2.能够根据不同的示意图用英语说出位置。 3.能运用there be句型和方位介词准确说出动物所处的位置。 三、教学重点： 1.学习单词：elephant，map，over there，hill等。

2.学习句型：There is/are„

3.学习韵律诗:Where Are They? 4.功能：描述动物的大小、外观和位置。 四、教学难点： 1.掌握there be句型。 2.能够熟练地用英语准确说出动物所处的位置。 五、教学准备： 1.课文挂图。 2.有关动物的图片。 3.一些图片。

4.录音机或教学光盘。

教学过程：

Step 1 Warming up 1.师生互致问候。 2.教师播放课本第13页的歌曲：To the Zoo,学生跟着录音唱一唱。教师揭示课题并板书：Unit 2 A Visit to the Zoo Part A。 Step 2 Review 复习已学过的动物单词并教学新单词elephant。 1.

教师提问，根据学生的回答把动物的图片贴在黑板上,如：

Do you often go to the zoo? What animals can you see in the zoo? Are there any elephants in the zoo? 2.根据图片,学习单词elephant和elephants, 学习词组an elephant和a baby elephant。 3.复习巩固所学的动物单词。 （1）采用不同方式朗读单词。 （2）游戏：What‘s missing? 游戏规则:给学生一点时间记忆黑板上动物的名称,然后打乱图片顺序并从中拿走一张图片,请学生说出拿走的是哪张图片。也可以拿走两张或三张图片,加大游戏难度。 Step 3 Presentation （一）呈现课文情景并学习新内容 1.教师指着黑板上课本第９页的第一幅图说：“Sally‘s father takes his children to the zoo. Kate wants to see elephants. Where are the elephants?” 2.教师播放课文录音或CD-ROM,学生边听边看书,然后在书上画出答案:behind the hill。教师教学这个词组。 （1）教师出示一幅mountain的图片和一幅hill的图片,教学单词hill。 （2）教师拿出大象的图片，摆放在不同的位置，请学生说一说大象的位置，巩固behind

与 beside的用法，如： behind / beside the hill behind / beside the door behind / beside the desk 3. 学习

there be句型

（1）出示There is an elephant behind the hill . There are some elephants behind the hill. 注意There is与

There are 的区别。

（2）出示一些图片，请学生看图说话，巩固本句型的用法。

请学生用there be句型说一说教室里有某物。

如：

There are two blackboards in the classroom. There is a flag on the wall. There are two doors in the classroom.

4.教学map , over there和
