Ⅰ.Teaching contents: This unit for grade 2 students is a little difficult. They have learnt English for 2 years .They have knew something about English. The students in grade 2 are all 7-8 years old, they are full of curiosity, they like taking part in activities and playing games.

Ⅱ.Learning aims:

①Through some ways to learn and practice. Enable the Ss understand and speak the sentences: -Merry Christmas! -Merry Christmas! –Here are your presents! -Thank you. By creating different situations enable students can express with these sentences “-Merry Christmas! -Merry Christmas! –Here are your presents! -Thank you.”

We’ll check it by show time and group work. ②After different ways to listen and speak, develop students’

abilities of listening and speaking. Through group cooperation, their ability of cooperation and communication will be trained. ③After this class, know a little about in western countries ,the different between Christmas and spring festival. They’ll answer it’s a secret or some other things. And how do the children from

other countries celebrate their holiday. Ⅲ.Teaching aids: PPT, Blackboard, pictures, cards, tape.

procedures: Step 1: Warm-up & Lead-in T: Now, let’

s begin our class. Good morning, boys and girls. Let’s sing a song, OK? (Sing sing sing with me…) Ss: Good afternoon, teacher. T: Today, we’ll learn unit 6 Christmas. This class we’ll divide into 3 groups. Come on .This year I’ll have a Christmas party. Do you want to come? How to come? If you did a good job, and get a most beautiful Christmas tree, you can come. Look here are your presents. Ss: Yes. OK. T: Look what time is it? Let’s count together. 5-4-3-2-1 Wow It’s Christmas day. Who is coming? Who can greet with him? Ss: Hello, hello. Good morning…

T: Let’s listen what does he say? (播放圣诞老人的话)一起板书这句话，跟录音说，跟老师说，模仿声调说，小老师说，开火车说。（注意运用字母的发音来掌握句子）

T: Merry Christmas! T(带上圣诞老人的帽子扮演圣诞老人)Hoo, hoo, hoo ,I am coming. Merry Christmas!

S: Merry Christmas! T: Here are your presents. Present(实物示范单词，用单词卡呈现presents,注意复数与单的区别，多练习。贴卡片) （板书句型，老师领读，小老师领读，小组练习，找学生展示，教师及时的评价Good/Excellent/Well done/Thank you.注重教师说句型发礼物）

T：If you received present, what will you say? T: (播放学生说的话Thank you.) 教师与学生练习，注意孩子的发音尤其是th组合的发音)齐说，分小组说，男女生说，单独说。

T: You did a good job, let’s see a new story. You have learning tips. Step 2 : Presentation & Practice 1、Watch the cartoon and number (看动画标序号)

（根据情况，标的不好再看一遍）

2、Read it

in groups, then circle the words you can’t read, try to solve them by groups. 分小组读，圈出你不会读的单词,小组内试着解决难题。

(加强指导，多问问孩子，可能出现的问题presents here…) 3、Try to read after the tape. 试着跟读吧。(齐读，分角色齐读，男女生读，小组读) 4、Try to read it by yourself.

自己读一读吧。（练习完要有反馈，全班一起读来反馈）

5、Try to show it. 试着演一演吧。（尽量多的给学生时间准备和表演，找不同的孩子来表演）

(1、一人扮演圣诞老人其他人扮演学生来演。2、小组内合作来表演。) Step 3: Production T: We’ve learned some new sentences, let’s try to make a new dialogue.出示不同的圣诞图片

Step 4: Good to know T: Today, All of you did a good job, so you can come to my party. Welcome. Now let’s know more about Christmas.

1、西方国家圣诞节要准备圣诞树，一起用铃铛，星星，蝴蝶结，糖果棒等来装饰圣诞树。要一起吃圣诞大餐，火鸡是圣诞大餐永远的主角。平安夜孩子们会准备圣诞袜子挂在壁炉旁确保自己收到圣诞礼物。

2、他们的圣诞节与我们的春节一样都属于重要的节日。我们春节会吃饺子和汤圆，会收到压岁钱，会放鞭炮来庆祝。

（教师边播放课件边用英语给学生描述。）这两个节日的庆祝方式是不一样的并且都很有趣。
