Step 2: While-reading. 1. Listen to the whole passage and answer some questions. a. What is May going to do this weekend? b. What is the money for? c. What fun things can they do? 【设计意图：循序渐进地引导学生逐步掌握阅读技巧，从文中获取信息，帮助学生理解短语、具体内容。】

2. Jig-saw reading. a. Watch a video about the UK and the US. b. Read and judge. c. Choose the best answer. 【设计意图：通过微课让学生大概地了解英国与美国的主要景点，拓展学生的文化知识。再通过Jig-saw reading的方式，让学生自己动手想一想，划一划，找关键词，引导学生在阅读过程中解决问题、理清思路，使学生在感知、体验、运用的过程中逐步地掌握阅读的技巧。同时，获取信息以及给予信息环节能更好地锻炼学生的合作能力。】

3. Summary.

【设计意图：通过小组合作的形式，起到互助的作用，让更多的学生更好地把短文的知识掌握好，从而提高效率。】

Talk about your weekend plan with your friend. 【设计意图：阅读后语言输出环节，使学生通过自己的思考、组织语言来展示，学生的思维能力、语言组织能力，语言输出能力都得到了较好的锻炼。】

这节课主要研用了刘爱红老师与时辉老师合作的微课，该节微课都设计得很不错，讲解很清楚，我采用其一些设计进行讲解本课内容，并自己收集相关需要的信息、视频制成小微课辅助本课教学，让孩子通过观看通过微课来让他们更好地了解John与Colin两个孩子所在国家的一些文化知识。这微课的研用为我这节课的设计减轻了不少教学负担。
