Step 1 Greetings and Lead-in

1. Show some wild animals

2. Show the voice of elephant and tiger.

3. Ask the below questions.

Do you know how to do research?

Step 2 Self-study 1

1. Discuss the process of a research.

2.Ask Ss to study Part B themselves.

3. Ask students to read Part B together.

4. Teach Ss to read Part B.

5. Ask some Ss to read the steps one by one.

Step 3 Self-study 2

1.Ask Ss to Self-study the new words by listening and read after the MP3.

2.Ask Ss to read the new words together.

3. Ask some Ss to read the new words one by one.

Step 4 Do a match.

Do some research

1. Let Ss discuss in their groups. And ask one team to do the match.

2. Read the phrase together and emphasis on the steps of research.

Step 5 Sentences and Practice

1.Presentation

Step 6 Dragon game.

1.Tell the rules. Ask Ss to practice first and get ready for the game.

2.Ask Ss to work with the desk mates and use the below sentence to make conversations. Then the pass the conversation to the pairs behind them. The group which finish the dragon game first is the winner.

Step 7 Listen and Say.

1.Ask Ss to read Part A themselves.

2.Ask Ss to read and study Part A in their group. And try to solve the difficulties.

3.Ask Ss to read Part A together to check their self-study.

4.Ask Ss to role-play Part A.

5.Let Ss to read Part A group by group. Then ask a girl and a boy to read Part A. Step 8 Homework.

Ask Ss to recite Part A and memorize the new words.
