本册教材为新起点英语三年级下册，共分为六个单元，主题都和孩子们日常生活息息相关，包括：School Subjects, My School, After School Activities, My Family, Family Activities, My Home. 每个单元都是以主情境图进行导入，通过chant来感知、学习关键词：再以情境对话形式进行功能句的感知、运用；最后以一个有趣的小故事进行知识的巩固以及情感意识的培养。

本课内容为三下Unit4 My Family的第一课时。出现的功能句为：This is my father. He’s handsome. My Family话题在二年级上册Unit 1出现过：grandfather，grandmother，father，mother，brother，sister Unit 3出现过handsome这些词汇。

本课时主要分成三部分：PartA Look, listen and chant侧重于呈现目标词汇，感知并学习这些词汇；PartB Stick, write and say侧重于在语境中操练和运用词汇。Part C侧重让学生在四线三格中规范地书写单词。

学生已知：1.二年级上册的三会词汇family，grandfather，grandmother，father，mother，brother，sister，handsome. 2.This is.. He’s... 句型。

学生未知：1.本单元目标词汇uncle，aunt，cousin，beautiful 2.本课将在巩固复习重点单词的基础上介绍家庭成员，在相关情境中学会运用功能句。

1.巩固三会词汇：family，grandfather，grandmother，father，mother，brother，sister，handsome. 2.能在图片、动画、歌谣的帮助下理解目标词汇，听懂、跟随录音大胆模仿说唱本课歌谣。

3.能听懂、会说，在情境中用This is... He’s/She’s...来介绍家庭成员。

能在相关情境中运用主句型询问并回答相关家庭成员。
