一、教学目标
语言能力目标:
1.
能够正确运用形容词(如wide, long, old, high, round等)介绍伦敦的著名景点;
2.
能够借助图片用英语开展景点讲解活动。
文化意识目标:
1.能够初步了解伦敦的文化,全方位认识伦敦;
2. 通过学习形容词描述国外景物,开阔眼界,增长跨文化知识;
3. 了解英国重要景点如River Thames, Big Ben, London Eye等,对国外景物形成一个初步的认识,同时也加深对祖国大好河山的热爱。
思维品质目标:
1.
能够借助图片和关键词梳理文本信息;
2.
通过小组合作、体验小导游等活动获得相应思维品质的发展。
学习能力目标:
1.
能意识到在生活中体验和运用英语的乐趣,从而发展英语学习的能力;
2.
能通过小组讨论、完成表格等活动对所得信息进行归纳和分析,发展其信息处理的能力。
二、教学重点
1、能掌握重点单词:wide, old, high, new, round 2、能掌握重点句型:This river is very wide. And it’s very long.
3.能够选择恰当的形容词介绍伦敦的著名景点;
4.能够初步了解伦敦的文化,形成跨文化意识。
三、教学难点
能了解有关英国重要景点如River Thames, Big Ben, London Eye等,并能够借助图片开展伦敦景点活动介绍,学会用英语描述一个城市。
四、课前准备
1、课本。
2、一些与形容词相关景点的图片。
3、一个导游用的工作牌。
4、有关英国重要景点的展示课件。
五、教学过程
Step 1 Warm up 1.
Greetings.
(设计意图:学生和教师进行简单问候,拉近师生间的距离。) 2.
Games: a.
Magic eyes: big/ small/ long/ short/ tall/ old/ new/high/clean/beautiful/famous/nice b.
Guessing game: This animal is very big. It’s strong. It has long nose. What is it?
This animal is very tall. It has long neck. What is it? This is a boy/girl. He’s/She’s ... Who is he/she? (设计意图:让学生在游戏中复习已经学过的形容词,为后面的活动做铺垫。)
3.
Look and say: This house is... But that one is ...
This tree is...
But that one is ...
This... is ...
But that ... is ... (设计意图:学生借助图片进行描述,在情境中运用形容词并引出后面的内容。)
Step 2 Presentation
1.
Lead-in Show a book about London. T:Look, What’s this? Ss: It’s a book. T: What’s it about? Ss: It’s about London. T: Yes, it’s about London. (teach“about”,渗透字母组合“ou”发音)
PPT展示:about / house / mouse / loud / round / trousers T: About London, what have you learnt ? Ss: ... T: Great ! Today we’re going to talk about London! (设计意图:用一本介绍伦敦的书引出本节课主题情境,并结合语音进行教学。)

PPT出示景点图片:the River Thames / Big Ben / the London Eye T: What can we see in London? Let’s look at the pictures.
Teach: the River Thames(注意Thames中“h”不发音),Big Ben, the London Eye (Show pictures) What’s the River Thames / Big Ben / the London Eye like? The river is very wide. And it’s very long.(渗透字母Ii的发音)
PPT展示:wide / tide / like / kite / site / nice T: The River Thames is very wide. And it’s very long.(师板书并请学生上台找出相应的形容词和景点进行配对。)
T: How about Big Ben and the London Eye?
Ss: Big Ben is very tall. It’s a very old clock. The London Eye is very high. It’s like a big, round eye. (teach“wheel”,并渗透“wh”发音,让学生试读单词进行语音训练。)
(设计意图:教师出示图片,并以浏览图片的形式介绍伦敦的景点和建筑物,让学生在情境中理解并运用语言。)
Step3 Practice 1.
Show a picture: Who are they? What are they talking about? Let’s watch a video. 2.
Group Work: Fill in the form and show your dialogue.

Step 4 Consolidation 1.
Talk about Beijing.(出示北京景点图片并用让学生描述。)
T: Look, here’s a map of China. This is my friend Sally. What’s she like? Ss: She’s ...
T: Sally is going to visit China. Can you introduce Beijing to her? Ss: This is ... It’s very ... And it’s very ... (设计意图:让学生用所学语言进行景点描述,同时渗透中国传统古建筑,培养学生热爱祖国大好河山的情感,同时也培养了学生的文化品格。)

Talk about Changsha. T: Sally is going to another city, Changsha. Can you introduce Changsha to her? First, I want to show you a video. Try to tell me what you can see from the video. Ss: I can see ... 3.
Let’s Show: Best tour guide.(Introduce a city to your friends) (让学生用自己的照片、图片或PPT进行展示,充分体现了学生综合运用语言的能力。)
4.
Enjoy a song. (设计意图:学生在歌曲中巩固本节课所学内容,并活跃了课堂气氛,提升了学生学习语言的兴趣。)
5.
Summary:Learn something about the famous buildings all over the world in your free time! You can enjoy lots of culture. (设计意图:让学生在课余时间学习和了解不同国家的建筑,体验不同的文化。)
6.
Homework: a. Read and act the text emotionally.有感情地朗读并表演文本。
b.Enrich your form, talk about
different cities with more information.完善你的表格,更多信息维度谈论城市。
c. Search for different buildings in different countries, share next class.搜寻不同国家的不同建筑文化,下节课分享。
(设计意图:分层次布置作业,让学生巩固并提升本节课所学内容。)
