1. Enable the students to master the words and phrases: headache, fever, hurt and take some medicine.

2. Enable the students to communicate with the sentences: What’s wrong? I’ve got... What’s wrong with her/him? She’s / He’s got ... Ability aims:

1. Enable the students to communicate with some daily English. 2. Enable the students to act out the dialogue.

3. Enable the students to master some learning strategies. Emotion aims:

1. Make the students understand that we should take good care of ourselves.

2. Let the students be brave to show themselves and learn from each other.

Step1. Greetings and Leading in

T: Good morning, boys and girls.

S: Good morning, Miss Li.

T: Today I’d like to introduce a new friend to you. He’s M ickey. (Mickey: Hello, boys and girls.) S: Hello, Mickey.

【设计意图:课伊始,通过师生间亲切自然的对话交流,拉近了彼此的距离,Mickey的介绍活跃了课堂气氛,激发了学生的学习兴趣,为下一步的英语教学打下了基础。】

Step2. Presentation and practice

1. Presentation and practice of words and sentences

T: Mickey wants to play with his friend Goofy. He is making a call. Let’s listen. (Mickey和Goofy打电话)

(学习句型What’s the matter? I’ve got a headache and a fever. )

T: Here’re two questions for you.

(1) Can Goofy play with Mickey?

(2)What’s the matter with him? (学习句型及回答语。)

T: A game for you. (复习学过的病名称)

T: Goofy is ill. What should he do?(揭题)

Now, Shall we take him to the hospital?

S: Yes.

【设计意图:在创设的自然情境中,引出了本课新授词组和句型的学习,并通过游戏,寓教于乐,有效操练和巩固了新句型。】

2. Presentation of the dialogue

T: Boys and girls, Goofy is ill. Mickey wants to ask SuHai and Mike to see Goofy. But he can’t find them. Let’s help him, OK?

(1) Task1: Listen and Answer

T: Listen to the tape,and answer this question: Where are SuHai and Mike?

(2) Task2: Watch and Answer

T: What’s the matter with Su Hai? What’s the matter with Mike?

在此过程中学习What’s wrong?

(3)Task3: Read and tick

T: Please read Part1 loudly and tick. What are the doctor’s suggestions?

(学习本课新的短语have a rest,take some medicine,drink some warm water)

(4)Task4:Read part2 and judge.

( ) Mike goes to see the dentist.

( ) He can eat something.

( ) Mike eats too many sweets.

( ) Mike should brush his teeth in the morning and before bedtime.

(5)Task5: Let’s read

Read after the tape.

Choose one way to read.

T: Work in groups and read in roles.

Let’s act. (两人一组,任选一个场景表演!)

【设计意图:本环节以“语言的应用”为核心,引导学生运用目的语进行交际。遵循课文教学“整体性”的原则,设计各种教学活动,让学生自然巧妙地学习了对话。】

Step3. Consolidation and Extension

T: We know: SuHai, Mike, Goofy and some other patients are in the hospital. Let’s pl ay games with them to make them happy, OK?

S: OK.

T: (转盘游戏) This is the game rule.

(1)You’re a lucky dog. Smile, please.

(2)Time to talk. Work in pairs. (任选一个场景,和同伴排练表演。)

【设计意图:表演是学生喜欢的课堂活动,他们运用已掌握的目的语和原有的英语知识,发挥自己的创造力和想象力进行活动,使学生在轻松愉快的氛围中进行交际性练习,充分体现了英语学习的实践性。】

(3) Su Hai和Mike都想把今天的事记录下来。Su Hai是为了写请假条,Mike是为了提醒自己少吃糖,你能帮助他们记录吗?

【设计意图:此活动的设计,让学生完成一段源于文本,又高于文本的填空内容,使其读写能力有了进一步提高。】

T: If you want to keep healthy. What should you do?

We should…(get up early, go to bed early...)

T: If we can do like this, we may not see the doctors.

Step4. Homework

1.Act out the dialogue with your friends.

2.Finish“Ask and answer”on P38.

3.Surf the Internet and find more information about illness.

【设计意图:作业的设计,有利于学生进一步理解,巩固所学新知,并且把英语学习延伸到了课外,拓展了英语学习的时空。】
