1.整体设计思路、指导依据说明

本文小说体裁，改编自诗歌，在课前老师把文章又再次改写为剧本，由四个小组的同学出演四幕戏剧本，与此同时，并让其他同学根据现场所演，找出每一幕的（背景setting，主角main character，情节plot）.大概了解了故事梗概，再通过听力，进行全文细节的排序。并一步分析了人物的冲突conflict和高潮climax，引出了骑士精神Chivalry，让学生们深入思考Sir Gawain所经历的两次考验bravery, honesty,及他是否胜出？Why did Sir Gawain feel sad in the end? 让学生结合生活实际谈一谈诚信的重要性。

2.教学背景分析

教学内容分析：

本篇课文出自《英语（Senior High English）》，北京师范大学出版社，高二必修模块5，Literature Spot 5 Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.本文分为四部分1.

Gawain accepted the Green Knight’s challenge and cut off his head. The Green Knight survived the blow and Gawain was then required to continue his half of the challenge.2. The lord of the castle and Gawain made an agreement that they should give each other anything they received. 3. Sir Gawain kept his promise at the first two days but on the third day he broke his word by keeping the belt for the sake of his life.4.

The Green Knight stopped for the first two times to cut Sir Gawain and at the third time he cut Sir Gawain’s neck a little. Then he explained the mysteries of the story. 学生情况分析：

学生的英语成绩一般，但是对于英语话剧表演比较感兴趣。平时也鼓励孩子们进行口语练习，课外英语读物的阅读。

本文是由诗歌体改编成的小说，生词量不大。

3.教学目标分析

通过本节课的学习，学生能够：

1．掌握知识目标：掌握小说的文本分析技能，掌握小说的三要素人物、情节、环境，理清主角、背景及各环节的主要情节，找出高潮及冲突，学会鉴赏小说。 2．形成知识技能：四个小组学生进行剧本的表演，生动还原小说的四个环节，大家共同找出小说的三要素人物、情节、环境，理清高潮及冲突。在此基础上进一步的探索文章的主线，挖掘骑士精神，及Sir Gawain所经历的考验，并结合文本细节找出。

3．确立情感态度：

通过文本分析，学生体会当时的骑士精神，体验当时英勇的Sir Gawain所经历的内心纠结在第二个考验（honesty）来临时，留下救命的belt,却违背了骑士精神。让学生结合自己的生活及学习，谈谈诚信的重要性。

4.教学重点、难点分析

教学重点：

1. 了解骑士精神及对应文学背景介绍。

2. 阅读课文并能理解背景setting，主角main character，情节plot，了解了故事梗概，分析了人物的冲突conflict和高潮climax，

3. 让学生结合自己的生活及学习，谈谈诚信的重要性。

教学难点：

学生英语听力速记能力的培养；

学生总结、提取文本架构能力的培养；

学生联系自身，由此及彼的精神体验。

5.教学过程设计

Step1 Introduce the culture background. Originally Sir Gawain and the Green knight

was written by an unknown English poet towards the end of the fourteenth century. The 14th century sees a great flourishment of English literature.

Give a brief introduction of knight and the main characters of the text.

设计意图：因为小说是由无名氏所写诗歌改编，同时期齐名的有William Langland &Piers Plowman及Geoffrey Chaucer & The Canterbury Tales。

通过对小说文化背景知识介绍，学生了解英国文学的繁盛时期，并对骑士文学有大体的了解，并对本文的主人公Sir Gawain 及the Green Knight有初步的了解。

Step 2 The students are divided into 4 groups before class. Each group performs one of the four scenes of the text while the other students conclude the setting, main characters, and the plot accordingly, which are the basic elements of a novel. Group1

设计意图：只有扎实的输入，才可能有厚实的输出.教师根据故事情节发展，把文章分为四幕场景，让学生分组演练。学生根据场景归纳出背景（故事发生地点），主要人物，及情节。通过戏剧表演，表演的学生投入故事，观看的学生不止于观看，而是参与到信息的提取。四幕剧结束，学生对文章有个整体的认识。

Step3：The students will listen to the tape of the text and reorder the description of the novel.

设计意图：学生通过听故事，看文章，对小说的顺序、叙述、细节有了通篇理解，并通过排序，进一步理清文章的脉络。

Step4 Analyze the text and find the development of the story, spot the climax and conflict which exists in Gawain’s struggle to decide between his duties as a knight and the worth of his own life.

设计意图:进一步的分析情节，理清故事的发展，高潮，及主人公内心的挣扎及冲突. Step 5 The students will read the vows of knights as follows and connect them with the story then will have a deeper impression of chivalry.

Then the students will meditate the questions:

What kind of tests did Sir Gawain go through? Did Sir Gawain win the tests?

Can you find any details in the text to support your opinion? The students need to look into the text to find the details to support their answers.

Why did Sir Gawain feel sad in the end? What shall we do to uphold the value of honesty? 设计意图:当学生思考到文章的最后部分，Why did Sir Gawain feel sad in the end? 因为Sir Gawain没有通过诚信的测试，联系现今的生活，让学生谈谈生活中诚信的例子，自己的经历及体会，从而达到德育的目的。在这个环节，播放一个短片关于考试作弊的To be honest，作为课堂的有益且有趣的补充。

Step6 Assignment. After the students discuss the questions and offer their options, they are required to write an essay.

设计意图:通过与时俱进、穿越时空的连接，学生在文本分析，文章深入理解及讨论后进行，检测学生的文本掌握情况，

评价内容：

一、学生以小组活动形式，表演剧本，回答问题

Write an essay about your experience about honesty in your life, try to use “rising action, climax, conflict and falling action” to describe your experience.

评价方法：

运用真实性评价和总结性评价相结合的方式进行评价。
