Story (Who Wants a Fish?) To understand and read the story Peggy I. Warm Up

1.Guess the riddles. It has four legs. It has a long tail. It’s afraid of the dog. It likes eating fish. Have them guess what’s the animal? What does a cat like to eat?

II. Presentation 1.

Have them look at the pictures and predict what happened to the cat. Ask them some questions about the story.

What can you see from the picture? What does the cat like to eat? Teaching procedures What does the cat see in a bowl? Who comes in the room? 2.

Have them focus attention on picture 1 and ask them to talk about the picture. Let them to write and draw the answers on the paper. What can you see from the picture? What does the cat like to eat?

Have them retell picture 1 with the pictures they drew.

Focus attention on picture 2 and ask them to answer the questions. What does the cat see in a bowl? What does the cat do? Can the cat touch the fish? How does the cat feel? Let them answer the questions and draw the answers on the paper.

6. Ask them to open the books and read the story. Answer the questions,

Why is the cat mad at the fish? Who is happy? 7.

Work in groups and complete the story.

It’s a good way to help them understand the story by drawing the pictures. They can Feed back write the answers with the simple pictrues, but not all of them can participate in. It’s better to let them read the story first and then ask them to draw the pictures and help them make their own little story.
