目标

1.知识与技能:

(1) Enhancing the reading skills of the student. (2) Consolidating the vocabulary of this unit.

2.学习策略:

(1) Learning by using: Using the pictures or structure of the new vocabulary, helping the pupils to consolidate the usage and pronunciation. (2) Helping the pupils try to find out the methods to complete the reading exercise.

3.情感态度与文化意识:

(1) Stimulating the willing of the pupils to know more detail history of the famous people. (2) Leading the pupils try to find out the success of these famous people. (3) Let them try to comprehend their feeling about the famous people by using the simple sentences that we learnt from the text. (1)

Leading in 1. Free talk about Steve Jobs. (1) What did Steve Jobs make you like best, the iPad, iPhone or iPod ? (2) Do you think Steve Jobs love his job very much ? (3) Do you think you can do what you want and like to do in the future ?

Presentation 1.

Listening practice. (1)

Summarizing that, there were a lot of famous people, they had a lot of difficulties before they became successful. And now, let’s recognize more famous people. (2)

First, let the whole class translate the names of the famous people of

P34 EX1. (3)

Second, using the e-Resource and let the pupils try to complete this exercise by listening for twice. (4)

Then checking out the answers. 2.

Reading practice. (1)

Let the pupils read and translate the questions of P35 EX3. (2)

Let the whole class try to read the passage aloud. (3)

Checking out the answers of the pupils. (4)

Helping the pupils to mark down the new vocabulary out of the class. Such as, Bristol, put out, agree to, magic. (5)

Let the better pupils try to explain where and how they can find out the answers from the passage.

Do a survey then writing. (1)

Showing the example of the EX2 in P34. (2)

Let the pupils try to have a short discussion of

who is their own idols, and then helping them to fulfill the table of the Name and Idol. (3)

Let some of the pupils try to say some reasons that their idols had done, by using the past simple tense. (4)

Helping the pupils correct the mistakes or errors of their sentences.

Summarization 1.

Using the P.P.T. and help the pupils try to remember the text and the new vocabulary. 2.

Let the pupils retell the story by the help of the exercises of the P.P.T..
