On the School Bus Knowledge Aims
Preparing Time 1. Understand the meaning of the text; 2. Learn the four-skill words and phrases:

Greet the class as usual. Ask them some questions to help them to think of the words and phrases learned before. For instance, “Hello, Boy. What day is it today? What is the weather like today? How do you go to school today?”
Show some pictures of bike, bus, train, plane, ship, taxi, boat
to the students. Help them to answer the questions and encourage more students to stand up to answer the questions.
New words and phrases:
1) Show the students some pictures of different seasons and different weather forms, such as sunny, cloudy, foggy, winy, rainy . Ask them

○2How do you go to school on a rainy day?
I go to school by bus..
○○3Do you often go to school by bus?
I always go to schoolboy bus.
Repeat the same steps with the other words. Help the students to talk about the pictures.
2) Tech the students some other words and phrases. Show the words and phrases on the screen, and let the student to read the words phrases aloud. Such as umbrella / Ms. / driver / far from / ride a bicycle / have an umbrella / plant flowers / Here comes the school bus. Listening:
1)
Show the following questions on the screen: 1What is he weather like today?
○2Where are they waiting for the school bus?
○3Does Jenny walk to school?
○4Do they take umbrellas?

Play the audiotape and ask the students to find out the answers to the questions while they are listening. They should put up their hands to show that they have known the answers. Check their answers with the whole class.
2) Play the tape for another time. This time, ask the students to repeat the sentences they hear. Encourage more students to stand up to

3) Ask the students to do Part 2 Let’s Do It. Let’s Sing.
Play the tape and ask the students to follow the tape and learn to sing the song. Go through the song first if necessary.
Ask the students to sing aloud together. Reading:
Get the students to read the dialogues together, testing if they have really understand the meaning of the text. Then divide the students into groups of two and ask them to play a role game.
Task/Activities:
Get some of the students to act out dialogue in the front of the class. Encourage and praise them. Exercises 1
Part 3, Let’s Do It, Part 2, Read and write. Tick and write.
